"Come on, Katie. Your friends are waiting for you."


"She hasn't gone through yet. I'm trying to convince her to go. It's not as hot here as it is up there, and she doesn't seem to like the heat."

"Would you use a sandstone or a granite for a chisel?" The queen asks, to prove her point.

 

Katie takes a few steps back, before running toward the portal and stopping by the edge, quickly stepping back, scared.

"I-I can't." Katie says, shaking her head, scared.

 

Linoa grabs Katie from behind and dives in, Rineth following.


"Well, I guess that works." The portal says, confused.

 

"Depends on how much of each I have."
I retort.

 

Katie screams, freezing Linoa and herself in a solid block of ice.

 

Rineth pushes the block through the portal.

She picks up a fist-sized stone.
"This much of each."

 

"Well, the granite, but say we have an abundance of sandstone? That could be useful for something."

 

"I mean tools specifically. Would you make a tool out of granite or sandstone? Then think about a wall. If nothing can break the sandstone, and you have more sandstone than granite, why use granite for the wall?"

 

"Well, it's your stuff, so I guess there's not really a point in arguing if you have your mind set."
I point out.

 

"If you have a better idea, you're the only one coming out ahead here... so something's going for you."

 

"I take it you're some kind of God-killer?" I ask, as the dirk spins repeatedly before ending with the blade pointing straight at me.

 

"Some call me a nomad, some call me a murderer, some call me a myth, but all call me a legend." He says, nodding once. "God-killer is a name for my blades, not me."

 

"I'm just saying that there's a possibility that you could use this somehow."
I say, lifting up the rocks in emphasis.

 

"It's easy to recover from the water. The moat's depth is illusory."

 

"Alright."
I say, throwing the rocks in.

 

With a splash, you notice it sink unnaturally fast into the bottom of the moat. Seems the Queen wasn't joking.

"You could probably walk through it without getting fried, but just to be safe, I wouldn't."

 

"Ah, very good." I say, as the dirk glows green before spinning and floating to Sivius.

 

"I'd test it with my hand first. I can always be rebuilt, but my feet actually have things that are important to me."

 

He draws his rapier, the darkness radiating from the blade giving off a strange aura, like within the blade are trillions of things trying to make themselves known.
"I suppose I shall not keep you waiting, great destroyer?"

"The fire that makes you fly?"

 

"And my boots. Both things can be replaced, but I'd rather keep the ones I have."
