"Yhrey forgives you, and he's sorry he may have overreacted. The person did have a cloak on, so he couldn't tell who it was. It very well could have been the rider, and not Nyre. They froze the wing of the other dragon, who's name is Gloomtail."

 

"Froze? Then it was the rider... but if he needed a dragon soul, why wasn't that enough?"

 

"Oh...oh dear. That's not good." Abigail says nervously.

Abigail regurgitates me, I seem to be rather dazed.

"Aj, are you alright?" Artemis says, running over to me.

"Ughhh...jammy...dodgers..." I say, dazed.

Abigail transforms back to her normal form, looking at me with concern.

"Sorry about eating your boyfriend, Artemis..." Abigail says guiltily.

Artemis lifts me up, "Ughh, wh-where was I...it was dark...and painful...and wet." I say, confused.

 

"Mmm well... More souls equals more power. I'd assume that was his ultimate goal."

 

"You got eaten." Ihra smiles, healing some of the corrosion.
"Now, what about Abigail making cookies?"

"I thought he only needed one soul to enter the forest... Still. Glad you're both okay."
I look towards the town.
"I need to report back to Faelar. Hopefully nothing bad happens to either of you."
I start towards Solignis.

 

"Wh-What? I got eaten!?" I say, confused.

"Abigail ate you as a dragon," Artemis says, wrapping my body in vines whilst glaring at Abigail. I shiver.

"I guess I could make cookies, if you have the ingredients." Abigail says.

 

"The what? AJ, did you lie to me?!"
Rineth buries his face in the ground.

 

"I'd personally take this as a que to run. I don't think he dragon is pleased."

 

"Huh?" I say, confused.

"How do you feel?" Artemis asks, kneeling beside me.

"Half-digested and confused." I say, smiling lightly.

"I can't summon cookies from the ether, I need to actually create the cookie dough and bake them." Abigail says.

"Aj's in no shape to be running anywhere." Artemis says, increasing the vines around me.

 

OCC: Must be some confusion somewhere with the whole rider needing a dragon soul thing..?

"His linked soul with his dragon partner would be enough to sustain a short trip into the forest, but he'd need an actual dragon soul to keep going. The dragons bid you good day."

In the distance, the two dragons fly off in blurs.

You reach Solignis, and the guards on the battlements enter a heated discussion as to whether they should let you in. Eventually, they open the gates and let you in.

 

"No, it's Ihra..." He mutters.

"She doesn't know what 'ingredients' means." Xephyr adds.

I do my best to backtrack my way back to where I last saw Faelar.

 

You reach the mansion door and Faelar just kind of materializes out of thin air next to you.

"Judging from the dragons flying around in the sky, all went well?"

 

"Ohshi-" I catch myself and my breath.
"Yeah, there was some rider hunting it. Two dead guards and one death threat later, the dragon's a safe distance away from the freak and I've crossed someone whose ancestor was a problem and a half."

 

"I need the parts of what makes a cookie to, well, make a cookie." Abigail says.

The vines around me begin to faintly glow. Artemis kisses me lightly, "You'll feel better soon." She says, smiling at me.

 

"What do you need to make a cookie?"
"Pretty sure you two can grow most of the ingredients. Sugar and flour, at least..."

 

"Well, at least it was a success. I'll keep my eye out for this rider, should he try anything again. Also, the word of your success shall spread through the city, I can promise you that."

 

"Sugar, flour, butter, chocolate...milk, I think?" Artemis says.

"Hey Aj, do you have any cookies in your storage?" Abigail asks.

I glare at Abigail.

"What? I just ate you and partially digested you!" Abigail says innocently.

"I think home-made cookies would be better." I say, grinning.

 

"Just trying to keep my group from getting hunted by people. Tirai can't do it alone, and even he's... uh... hold on...

...I don't...
...So Vei's curse caught up to her... Damn. We still each have just enough... I don't want to do that yet. Only if I have to..."
I blink a few times.
"Shoot, I was rambling again, wasn't I?"

Ihra grows a sugar cane, then seems preoccupied with gnawing on it whole.

 

"I believe so. I don't understand what you said, to be quite honest."

 

Artemis turns to me, "Do you think you could give Ihra some if your cookies from storage, for me? I don't think we're going to get much work done." Artemis says, gesturing to Ihra gnawing on the sugar cane.

"Alright, just for you, honey." I say sweetly, a jar labelled 'Shadow Aj's Cookies (DO NOT TOUCH)' appearing next to me.

Artemis takes a few of the cookies from the jar and hands them to Abigail, who warms them up a little, before passing them to Ihra.

"Thanks, sweetie." Artemis says sweetly, smiling at me.
