Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Frustrated, she goes up, touches the statue while kneeling, and then resumes praying.

 

Still nothing.

 

Alice just stays, waiting.

 

Alice doesn't get a response, though niether does anyone else praying it seems.

 

Alice lets out a quiet, short growl as she leaves, otherwise silent as she goes back to the "rendezvous point."

 

There's nobody there, and considering what was said, it might be a while before anyone is.

 

Alice heads to the portal room.

 

The terminal waits for command, the portal inactive.

 

She punches in the command for a portal to the Void Palace.

 

The portal takes more than one command, though once they're entered, the portal opens to the library in the void palace.

 

She heads through, but doesn't show as the rest of the group gets back together.

 

The group heads back to Nyx with the cauldron of blood and Slow-Motion potions regardless.

"We have the things you wanted!" I shout.

 

"Go, get! Get! Guests aren't for you!" You can hear her say behind the door.
Pause.
She opens the door, a red portal letting out a gust of stiflingly hot air as it shuts behind her.
"Sorry about that. Now, let's see..." Nyx says, examining the potions and the blood in the cauldron, telekinetically taking a few drops of blood and the potions to check.

 

The blood is type O, and the potions seem to slow down time around Nyx as they should.

 

She smiles and nods, putting everything inside as the relic (which is unsurprisingly heavy) appears next to you.
"You're pretty good at this stuff. Thanks for letting me test my mother's poison, too. Gives me something to aspire to match... oh, the writhing pain was absolutely delectable... Ah, the rush was unlike anything I've felt in lifespans! Hope whatever crazy ritual you need this for goes without a hitch!" She says happily, stepping back inside as she reorganizes her stuff, including running the blood through a few odd arcane rings as she goes.

 

"How about first to surrender or rendered unable to fight?"

 

"I do value personal privacy as well. We did barge in here without warning, but if you don't mind, I'm fine with giving them as long as it takes."

 

"If it wasn't bound to me, I'm sure you'd love to use Shadow Katana," I say before Nyx steps inside, "Let's just say it makes torture, killing and the like much more...pleasurable."

"Weirdo." Shadow Stephanie says offhandedly.

 

"Seems too quick." Nyx shrugs.

"We're good."
"We're definitely fine."

"Okay, then. Goodbye, mortals!"

"I mean for you. Duels typically go to death, but you're assuming the form of a skeleton."

 

I just pick up the relic, before heading to the void with the rest of the group.

"Hey Stephanie, can you go grab the other relic?" I ask Shadow Stephanie.

"Sure." Shadow Stephanie says, disappearing.
