Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Perhaps, but that was not so the last I was there." I say, "I shall be heading over there now."

I float to the training area.

 

"Good luck."

"I'm guessing they increase or decrease weight?" She asks, not bothering to open them.

 

"Appreciated." I reply, floating faster towards the training area.

 

"He's slept on a bed once."
I say, walking over and picking him up.
"The other raptors barely know the word."

 

"Once?"
"I thought he said he hadn't been here before."
"The robot's from another world or something. He's probably got tons of stuff there, beds a given."
"Fair point."
"On that note... the hell do you have at home?" The vulgar girl asks.

People don't seem to be paying your entry any mind as Emerald relentlessly bombards a regiment trying to land a hit with her with her 300 tomes, most of the soldiers dodging fairly well, but slowly they get picked off and utterly vaporized one by one, a much larger dome resetting at the end.
"Any more regiments want to take their weekly shot at this?" Emerald half-shouts, the crowd roaring.
"All of you? Guess we're going in order agai..."
Emerald makes eye contact with you.
"Actually, you may want to spar with him, while the rest of you wait for your opportunity."

 

"At home, nothing."
I say, setting Ytir in a chair and sitting in the chair next to him.
"That's because I don't have a home. What I have at disposal, though... well, it varies."

 

"Okay, so let's say that got destroyed, since I don't give a damn about details yet. Now tell me every damn thing at your disposal." She says, ignorant of the fact Ytir's sleeping, though he doesn't stir.

 

I smile at her eagerness, but just shrug.
"Once again, it varies. Also, I can't reveal everything."

 

"How about showing some of us how you got here?"
Three others hesitate before agreeing.
"I've been curious, admittedly..."
"Anomaly or controlled event?"
"Somewhere out in the Ruin, right?"
"Gotta be a portal, based on what the shitty Academy taught us."

 

"It is indeed a portal, right in the middle of Aral'hrah territory, which means I'd wait until Ytir reports back before heading there."

 

"Are you willing to let us back in the-"
A few tremors, laughing, then a slightly warped sounding gust of wind. Probably Xlentia going back.

"...The fuck was that?"

 

"Might've been Xlentia. The god I know the best."
I explain.

 

"Aha, a god! You've got a whole lot at your fingertips, then."
"You serve a god? An actual god?"
"I thought the gods either tried to rule mortals or ignored them."
"Well, it depends. Gods have ranks, kinda like we have farmers up to kings."
"No way. There's not enough for-"
"If anyone would know, it'd be none of us who are talking at the moment." Neal's adoptive father interjects, turning to you.

 

"If I serve her, I'm a really shitty servant. I don't know how she rules, though. Crystal?"
"Hm?"
"Do you know how Xlentia rules?"
"No idea."

 

"Xlentia?"
"Never heard of them."
"Is that the god you serve? What are they like?"

 

"She. And, she's fairly nice. I can introduce you lot to her once we get around to going to that portal."
"Do we serve her?"
Crystal asks me, and I seem to think.
"By definition, we have once, when we met her, but other than that, I don't think so."

 

"Fairly nice? That kinda surprises me."
"I'm interested in meeting her now, I guess."
"Can we just all go? I'm sure the raptor - what was his name... Ytir? - wouldn't mind coming."

 

"You do realize that not all the raptors are very fond of you, right? I'm not worried about bringing Ytir, I'm worried about going into Aral'hrah territory."

 

"Well... it's due time we get subjected to what we subjected them to."

 

"You're willing to take the risk?"
I ask, addressing everyone.
