Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I've hid in Aj long enough to be tired of it."

Nyx glances over.
"Oh, you're back. More people, too." She says.

"Equally." She says, emotion unchanging. "You shouldn't need to change you. Many people would love to spar with gods."

 

Katie giggles.

"I'm here to arrange a deal for your relic." I say.

 

"Did you get the Anubi?"
"Yes, he did." Ali pipes up.
"What're you doing away from home?"
"Accepting fate."

 

"I got the relic too." I say.

 

"I meant the Anubi relic. No bonus points for kidnapping."

 

"Yeah, that's what I said." I say flatly.

 

I relax a bit as well.

 

"I know. Now, come on. You wanted to negotiate."

"Well, that was odd."
"He seemed wiped."

 

"Got anywhere to put him?"
I ask.
"I wouldn't want anything to happen."

 

"Well, I have the relic." I say, shrugging.

 

"Great, that's step one. Now, isn't step 2 usually offering something for what you want? You're lucky I'm not in the mood for much with all the tributes I've been getting as of late."

"I mean, we could always just leave him on a chair, I guess."
"I'm surprised he passed out on the floor."
"In fairness, he does usually sleep on the ground..."
"Good point."

 

I think for a moment.

"Human hearts?" I ask.

 

"Maybe something a bit less common than fleas?" She responds.

 

I think for a while longer.

"Potions?" Stephanie suggests.

 

"Depends on the type. I have no need for anything related to healing or enhancement." She says, slightly interested.

 

Stephanie takes out a light green potion and a light yellow potion.

"Try these." Stephanie says, tossing the potions to Nyx.

 

Nyx takes a sip of each, starting with the light green before taking the light yellow.

 

The light green potion seems to completely invert Nyx's gravity for a few seconds, lifting her off the ground. The light yellow however appears to slow down time around Nyx, or rather, speeds Nyx up. It's hard to tell.

 

She extracts the potion she drank from her throat, putting the used potion in separate vials.
"Yellow's interesting. Got anything else?" She asks, easing up slightly.

 

"Try pouring these on a few things and see what happens," Stephanie says, taking out a dark red and light pink potion and throwing them to Nyx, "I suggest red on something light, and pink on something heavy."
