Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Uugh." I groan.

 

"Okay, okay. I'm done for now, I promise."

 

"So what are we doing now?" Stephanie asks whilst writing in her journal.

 

"Up to you."
"Nyx?" Ali reminds.

 

"Yeah, I guess I should go see her." I say, getting up.

"Are we not coming?" Katie asks, sounding a little offended.

"I'm pretty sure this is a matter of bargaining. I wouldn't want her using any of you as demon food or slaves." I say.

 

"Come on, Aj. Katie just spent like a week and a half in hiding from her adopted sister. Besides, your group together can overpower her if she tries to take you out." Alice says.

 

Content with analysis, I continue listening.

 

"That's true." I say, thinking.

"I'm coming anyway and I'm taking the others as my guests so lets go." Shadow Stephanie says flatly, getting up.

"Oh, u-uhm, I d-don't know if I want to go." Angela says nervously.

 

You seem to have missed everything but the library worker, who simply says they spend most of their days in an office alone.
Ytir seems to be processing the information as he thinks of another question.

"You can stay back if you'd like. No desert, though, so no need to worry about that." Ali says.

"Sorry, Katie. Just trying to get him to let you come with." Alice says telepathically.

 

"I-I'll go...it s-seems safer with them." Angela says, getting up.

"That's ok." Katie responds cheerily.

 

"It's perfectly safe here, too. Just a bit... large."

Alice stands up.
"Well, I don't see the holdup. Next step to meeting Ihra, here I come!" She says, heading towards the portal room.

 

"Right." I say, following.

The rest of the group gets up and follows too.

 

Once through the portal, Alice seems to be waiting under the shade of a tree.
"Damn body's still coming together..." She complains, hiding inside of you as you enter.

 

"You could be useful and empower, say, Angela," I say, "You're not immune from sunlight inside of me."

Artemis sticks close to me, the pair of us holding hands.

 

Alice leaves and empowers Katie.

 

I just keep listening.

 

"Oh, uh, thanks." Katie says, a little caught of guard.

The group heads toward Nyx's camp, Angela looking around nervously.

 

"I'm sick of romance." She thinks.

Nyx is outside, emptying a rusty old minecart.

The silence intensifies, Ytir falling asleep.

 

"Have you had bad experiences with it?" Katie responds.

"Hey!" I shout.

 

"Ridiculous?" I say, despelling the mustache.

I burn off my skin, leaving me a skeleton.

"How about now?" I ask.
