Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"The one the Anubi held from you."

 

"You could've just said the relic..." Artemis mutters under her breath, "I'll show it to her then."

Artemis offers Feiha's orbs, looking ready to leave.

 

Emerald telekinetically takes the orbs.
"Enjoy the meal. Her bread especially is fantastic."

 

"Oh, right. I was supposed to get the others before the meal. How long do I have?" Artemis asks.

 

"Twenty minutes. Probably should tell Ali you'll be late."

 

"Uh, I can work with that!" Artemis says, taking out another black crystal and disappearing.

Twenty five minutes later, Artemis, Angela, Katie, Stephanie, Shadow Stephanie and myself arrive in the Void Palace library.

"Uhm, w-where did she say we were supposed to go for the meal?" Angela asks nervously.

"I'm not actually sure. She just said to show up in the palace." I say, shrugging.

 

Ali seems to be nearby.
"Well, it's in the mess hall. I figured I'd wait in the library since Emerald said you'd be a few minutes." She says. "Oh, and Angela? Sapphire wanted to see you. I made her some bread while she waited."

 

"Oh, i-is it alright I won't be at the meal while I go to s-see her then?" Angela asks nervously.

 

"Yeah, it'll be fine. I'll just save your food, or make it a bit later so it's still warm."

 

"Okay, t-thank you. Where should I g-go to see Sapphire?" Angela says, her nerves calmed a bit.

 

"She's also in the dining hall! She'll just take you off to the side, since she seemed nervous about telling me why she wanted to talk."

 

"O-Okay." Angela says, a little less nervous.

"Are we going to stand here all day talking or are we going to get on with this meal?" Shadow Stephanie asks, bored.

 

Ali laughs.
"Come on, cold tea isn't nearly as good!" She says, heading for the mess hall.

 

"Some teas are better enjoyed cold, actually." Artemis says as the group follows.

"I love ice teas!" Katie says happily.

 

"Well, there just isn't iced tea in the desert." Ali laughs, holding the door for the group.

 

The group enters, Angela nervously looking around for Sapphire.

 

Sapphire waves, sitting in a corner table.

Ali leads the rest off to a huge platter of various sandwiches and pitchers filled with coffee and tea.
"All those were kept warm, and the drinks as well just finished. Help yourself; I figure the draconians will eat anything you don't."

 

Angela looks mournfully at the food as she heads over to the corner table.


The group takes various food and drink items before sitting down and enjoying them.

 

"Me?"
"I was thinking some of the raptors could get to know the humans!"
"Oh..."
I seem to think.
"We could, but it's not exactly the safest thing."
I state to Ytir.

 

"Angela... why don't you want to show yourself as Abigail?" Sapphire asks.

Ali lets them eat to their heart's content, sipping on some tea off to the side while watching happily.

"I know, but... it's not like plans will get anywhere without a try."
