Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Thanks for the heads up." He says, taking it. "Now, to use it...?"

 

"Just activate the energy inside of it. It's sort of a thing you do that you can't explain, like...moving your hand." Artemis says.

 

"You chose a poor example." He comments.
After a pause, Leo opts to just try to get the energy to activate, looking at the crystal and trying to figure out what that means.

 

Leo somehow manages to activate the crystal, being teleported back to the farms in Maralune.

Meanwhile...

Artemis leaves the throne room, heading to an elevator and using it to teleport to the portal room. From the portal room, Artemis opens a portal to the Void Palace library, before running out of it and heading for Xlentia's quarters, strange coiled plants growing under her feet as they hit the ground and assisting her run.

 

Upon arrival, it seems Xlentia is still out in Maralune.

 

Artemis, thinking, backtracks to the library, heading to the archives and knocking on the door.

 

It opens.
"Yes?" Emerald calls.

 

"Uh, Emerald, would it be possible for me to use the 'immortality protocol' to revive someone that's been long dead, but I have traces of?" Artemis asks.

 

"Yes, it's possible, but wouldn't that tick off your mother?"

 

"Necromancy is shunned upon for disturbing the dead without good reason, but I'm aiming to fully revive someone who I believe deserves a second chance at life." Artemis explains.

 

"In that case... who?"

 

"Feiha." Artemis says calmly.

 

"Well... there's a problem with that. See, Ihra's still part of Xlentia. If you tried to revive a fragment now, you'd also be taking a piece of Ihra - irrecoverably."

 

"So...I need to wait until Ihra is free?" Artemis asks.

 

"In Feiha's case, yes."

 

"Well, do you think you could look after her orbs and remind me to revive her when Ihra's free?" Artemis asks, taking the orbs from her quiver.

 

Emerald seems surprised, but nods.
"Sure. Just remind Aj to bring the artifact he has."

 

"Wouldn't its power be used in Ihra's freeing?" Artemis asks.

 

"The orbs, no. The relic, yes. Also, consider showing it to Nyx."

 

"Which one?" Artemis asks, confused.
