Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Very well. Thank you." I say, heading back to the library to look for a book about what's outside the palace.

 

The only book seems to be a one-page code of law written using bones that are tied together.

"Yeah, but that doesn't do much for us."

 

"Whaddya mean?"

 

"...Nevermind. I should be giving this plan a chance."

 

"Well, yeah, why wouldn't you be?"
Crystal says, then thinks for a bit.
"Oh, yeah, you guys aren't the closest with humans, huh..."

 

"Not at all."

 

"Oh, yeah... well, whatever. You guys can work it out!"

 

"Here's to hoping." He says, trotting ahead a bit before pausing and continuing to just trail Crystal.

 

Crystal doesn't seem to take note of it, continuing ahead.

 

Eventually, the duo reaches Artemis, Thirteen, and now Leo.

You can't. It's literally a bunch of bones tied together.

 

I shake my head in disappointment and look around for any other books about the palace.

 

Anything else in particular, or are you going to take a shot in the dark at any of the billions of books?

 

Artemis glances over as she gets up and walks over to Leo.

"Want to go see those deadly monsters now?" Artemis asks Leo.

 

"Sure." He shrugs.

 

Artemis stores the orbs in the empty space in her quiver, taking out her black crystal again and offering a hand.

 

Leo takes it, stoic.

 

Artemis uses the crystal, and she and Leo are teleported outside the throne room in the Shadow Palace.

"He's just through here." Artemis says happily, leading Leo to the large doors.

 

"Your boyfriend is a shapeshifting royal figure of darkness?" He asks, glancing around as he follows Artemis.
