Shadow Stephanie sighs, going back to playing her games.


"No." Artemis repeats.

 

Crystal decides to stop looking and check on Aral'hrah.

 

"Wuh... then... did I not... but she just left me..." She utters, slowly coming back to her senses.
"Wait... I'm falling... help..."

He's fallen asleep, Muffy having since left somewhere along.

 

A pair of vine hands stabilises the Matriarch.

 

Crystal sits down and decides to have fun morphing.

I carefully walk over to Artemis and the Matriarch.
"Need some help?"

 

She soon blinks, then hesitates before hugging Artemis.
"I thought miss Stephanie said that... she wouldn't kill me... I owe you my life, miss Artemis." She says, worried but at least in the right mindset.

 

Artemis shakes her head.

"She didn't, and you don't. You were just unconscious." Artemis says.

 

"B-but... she gave me a heart attack, dragged me off, and left me there... everything went dark, and everything hurt... she could've just asked for my paintings."

 

"If you say so. I'm going to go find some starving citizens. You'll be here?"

 

"Did she intentionally give you a heart attack?" Artemis asks.

Artemis nods.

 

"I'm off, then."
I say, staying away from the plants and

flying off to find a house with a locked door.

 

"I don't know. She just... shouted so loud, my ears were ringing, then I looked up, and my body just seized up... she ordered me to be dragged off after."

Just about every house has a locked door. However, the closest house seems locked and empty.

 

"Why did your body seize up?" Artemis asks.

 

I keep going, knocking on the doors and checking the houses before I move on.

 

"Fear."

It takes eight houses before you get someone to unlock the door.
"...Hello?"

 

"Farm's alive again."
I quickly say.
"Just thought to let you know."

 

"So Shadow Stephanie didn't technically intentionally give you a heart attack." Artemis says.

 

"Right... I guess I made a hasty accusation in my panic... but what's a heart attack?"

"If my cousin's alive, tell him that. He knows how to work the fields." They reply, keeping their voice down.

 

"Where might they be?"
I ask politely.

 

"Last I heard they worked with the guard."
