Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sivius pops the cork off the bottle, smiling.
"Ladies first." He says, summoning a wine glass before filling it and offering it to Shadow Stephanie.

She manages to bring a few crops back, but most of them can't be salvaged that easily.

Suddenly, a frustrated looking Virei'tus sets down an unconscious Matriarch in front of Artemis.
"Pardon the interruption, but do you mind making up for your friend's... poor manners?" He asks.
The Matriarch's life force is weak, but she's still barely holding on.

You get a few people bowing and cheering as you walk by, but everyone else seems to be abnormally busy.

 

"Perhaps I should use this time to read." I say, teleporting to my throne room and going through the portal.

 

Just then, a draconian in a lab coat carries in an unconscious Ren.
"He's fine. We tweaked his immune system as to prevent similar things from recurring. He should recover from anesthesia in an hour and twenty, give or take a few."

 

"Alright." I say, telekinetically bringing Ren through the portal.

 

"Is there anything else we can do for you? Mistress Xlentia is out and our shift is over, and I don't have anything else to really do in my free time."

 

Shadow Stephanie happily accepts the glass, sipping it.


Artemis, still focused, sends a jolt of life energy into the Matriarch.

 

Sivius pours himself a glass before taking a sip.
"This stuff never gets old." He chuckles, seeming to have come in drunk.


This causes her to flinch, then continue laying limp, pulse and breathing back to normal.
"Thanks. I hope this makes up for the interruption."

Artemis finds herself rejuvenated, as if she had just woken up.

 

Shadow Stephanie laughs lightly, taking another sip and smiling.


Feeling rejuvenated, Artemis' power increases twofold, a green aura surrounding her as light green spores seem to emit from her, ripening the earth and healing the plants they touch.

 

Sivius offers his glass to do a cheers.
"To... never drinking... a god's drink..." He says, drunkenly happy. "Because, those things... are strong..."


The farmland eventually seems just about all revived, the growth accelerated a bit by the magic.

 

Shadow Stephanie just smiles, clinking her glass against Sivius'


Artemis pulls her bow from the ground, standing up straight again and looking around.

 

After the cheers, he just downs his glass in one gulp.


The crops seem to be fine, the respite's holding, and the Matriarch lets out a snore.

 

Shadow Stephanie just patiently sips her glass, sitting down on the sofa in the game room.


Artemis sits down, meditating.

 

"Well done."
I comment, look at Artemis, as Crystal finally arrives at the farm in amazement.

 

Sivius eventually passes out, drunk.


A few minutes later, the Matriarch accidentally bumps into her.

 

"Thanks." Artemis says, meditating.

Shadow Stephanie sighs, looking at her drink for a moment before putting it down and dragging Sivius to the elevator, then to a bed.


Artemis opens an eye.

I look at the Matriarch, and Crystal looks around for any other people.

 

Back in the game room, the bottle of spectre's blood is still there.


The Matriarch seems uncoordinated, using Artemis to stand up.
"Is... is this the afterlife that... that mother spoke about...?" She asks, clearly out of it.

There aren't any other people, and it seems the Matriarch's seen better days.

 

I just keep watching and listening to the Matriarch, and Crystal walks around the farm, looking into other roads to see if there's anyone.

 

"Where are we going..." Shadow Stephanie comments, looking at the bottle.


"No." Artemis says calmly.

 

There's nobody outside, still.
The Matriarch seems to be having terrible delusions.

It's half full.


"Huh...? Miss Artemis? Did... did she kill you too?" She asks, completely out of her mind.
