Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Eventually, a group of Shadows enters, taking some of the paintings and hanging them up, Stephanie entering shortly after.

 

"Well, there's a variety of things we could do. One, you could grow plants quickly, and we could quickly give everyone food to minimize starvation chance, two, we could check on whoever's working on the new inhibitor, get the new, charged version, or just get the one we have recharged, and then come back and grow plants, or three, we leave everything alone, hope that the inhibitor gets a new, charged version soon, and come back and grow plants when it's done. Considering most of the options involve things in your power, I'd rather you make the decision."
I relay.

 

"Well, with the current state of things, growing plants would take a while. I guess we could go and check on how the new inhibitor is." Artemis says.

 

"Alright. Sounds good to me. Crystal?"
"Yeah, seems okay."

 

Artemis takes out another black crystal.

"Let's go, then." Artemis says, opening a portal to the Realm of Shadows.

 

I walk in first, Crystal following.

 

Artemis walks through last, closing the portal behind her.

You find yourself once again back in the entrance of the Shadow Palace, Artemis heading toward an elevator once she steps through the portal.

 

We follow, Crystal rubbing Aral'hrah's head.

 

Artemis heads into the elevator and starts turning the dials, glancing back to make sure you're inside.

 

We are, and I nod.

 

Artemis turns the centre dial, and you're teleported to a room with a metal door, Artemis walking over to it and putting her hand on a panel beside it. The panel scans Artemis' hand, before Artemis flinches slightly and the door opens, Artemis heading through and clenching her hand in a fist.

 

"Security system?"
I ask as Crystal and I follow.

 

"Yeah." Artemis says.

Inside, various technicians work with magical equipment and materials, seeming to be working on the completion of a second inhibitor.

 

I head into the library and head to the section about draconian sicknesses.

 

I nod, and Crystal looks around more as I look at the newer inhibitor.

 

It seems to have a slightly altered casing to it, a more crystalline appearance as it glows with energy.

 

"Should we ask if it's ready?"
I ask Artemis softly.

 

"I'm not sure, I don't want to seem like we're rushing them." Artemis replies.

 

"Just ask politely."
I recommend.

 

"Excuse me, what's the progress on the Inhibitor?" Artemis asks.

"Almost done, Miss Artemis. We're just adjusting a few things to make sure it'll function correctly." An air guardian technician responds.
