Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I look at the scythe and the arrow, seeing what they're made of.

 

They're just wood, like the guards. They could do quite a bit of damage if used correctly, but would easily be nullified by armour.

 

"Think you can pierce metal with those things?"
I ask the guards, although knowing I'm not going to get an answer.

 

The guards remain silent, as usual, weapons readied.

 

I nod in satisfaction, before going through the portal back to Xlentia's palace.

 

I put my hand on the door, but still keep one of them between the arrow and my head.

 

The bow-wielding guard fire's its arrow, and the scythe-wielding guard tries to bisect you.

 

I drop to the ground, boosting backwards, Crystal in a bit of amazement.

 

The guards ready another attack, the scythe-wielding guard lunging toward you.

Considering they're made of wood, a blast from your rocket boots may be enough to defeat them.

 

Considering they're supposed to be guards, destroying them to enter the room may not be the best idea.

I jump sideways, opting to then go back in and grab the scythe.

 

You manage to grab hold of the scythe, and the guard struggles to keep hold of it as the other guard fires an arrow directly at your head.

 

I swat the arrow out of the air, then go back to the scythe and try to snap it in two.

 

You mange to snap it, the guard discarding it and trying to leap over you and choke you.

 

I let them get a hold on my neck, then turning to the archer, using the other guard as a body shield.

 

The guard fires three arrows toward you, not being very effective against the other guard as both are made of wood.

 

I walk towards the archer, continuing to use the other guard as a shield.

 

The guard keeps firing, the other guard punching you in the head.

 

I throw the guard at the archer, still approaching and aiming for the bow.

 

The guard gets dazed, knocked off balance momentarily from the other guard.

 

I rush for the bow, opting to grab it and snap it.
