Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'll get a healer for you." I say, teleporting back up to the castle and calling for a healer.

 

"Being able to bend yourself to your will ought to be super helpful." Aral'hrah comments, peeking out of the pouch.

They all seem to be busy, but you're told one can get with you in a minute if your call is an emergency.

 

The box's walls are high enough to be safe, but Aral'hrah can easily see out of them without hoisting himself up.
"Oh, yeah. It's been useful in a ton of things."

 

He just keeps looking around, occasionally glancing up at Muffy.
"That other thing seems to have gotten used to it."

 

"Muffy? Oh, yeah. I just let her be there, I don't care."
"We should get going. You two ready?"
"I am!"

 

"Yes, it is an emergency. One of my guests may be suffering from food poisoning or a serious disease."

 

"A guest, or an esteemed guest?" They ask, preparing to go with you.

"She'll be fine, don't worry."
"Let's go, then."
I say, entering the portal to the Shadow Palace, and Crystal running in after me.

Stephanie flies to the respite, flying down into it and taking another air sample once there.

You find yourself re-directed to the Shadow Palace gates.

"State your business." One of the guards says.

 

It's no different than the air at Earth.

"Who's that? I can't see anything!" Aral'hrah says, peeking out of Crystal's kangaroo-esque pouch.

 

Stephanie, curious, takes another air sample before flyong outside to the ruin, releasing it.

 

It immediately becomes just as twisted as the rest of the ruin air.

 

"Esteemed guest, recently knighted."

 

"We were hoping to see the king. Is he in right now?"
I ask the guard officially, Crystal standing near beside me, talking to the little animal in the box near his belly.

"It's okay, it's just a guard."
Crystal says softly, rubbing Aral'hrah's head.

 

Worried, Stephanie summons a medical mask lined with light silver crystals which she puts over her mouth, the crystals trying to clean the air she breathes so she isn't affected by any side effects of the ruin.

"We haven't actually seen him for a couple of days. The most we've heard was from his girlfriend, Artemis, that they were in the gaming room and wanted to be left alone. I'd suggest checking there if you want to see him. I trust the king's word more than his partner's."

 

"Where might that be?"
I ask.
"I don't get the chance to explore around here often."

 

"Just use the guide in one of the elevators. It should be behind a door opposite the dials. Look in the table of contents for the page with the gaming room and turn to that page, it'll show the combination for the dials." The guard says, opening the gates for you and the others.

 

"Right."
I nod.
"Thank you."
I start walking and Crystal follows, but stops at the guard.
"Is no light allowed at all here?"
He asks.

 

"Depends. Don't hurt anyone with it and you should be fine. Or, use Dark Light." The guard says.

 

"What's Dark Light?"
