Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gau takes it, and it turns out he's about as light as a tome.
"W-whoa, you're really strong, miss Stephanie..."

 

"That, or you're just really light." Stephanie says, giggling as she descends back down to the ground and gently puts Gau down.

 

"Lauin, come out. They are here to help." I shout

 

Lauin shows themself.
"I'm trusting you, Naoto."

OOC: You'll have to narrate Naoto for a bit

"Light?" Gau asks, definitely fitting of the description.

 

"Not heavy, easy to lift." Stephanie defines.

 

"Oh. You mean, like, maybe you seem super strong because it's not hard to pick me up?"

 

"Exactly!" Stephanie says, smiling kindly.

 

"Oh. Huh... so, that's why it takes more of us to move a dead human than a rock?"

 

"So what was the whole thing happening between you and the humans?"

 

"Probably," Stephanie says, nodding, "Do you by any chance eat humans?"

 

"Only dead ones. We have to eat whatever we can get our talons on." Gau says. "Hey... wait, you look like that other girl miss Artemis talked about! Are you friends with the robot, too?"

"Just, they caused the ruin and won't let us have any of their crops. They also keep trying to push us off our land, so we keep killing them."

 

"I'm not sure which robot you're talking about, but I am friends with Artemis." Stephanie says, mood lightening.

 

"Oh, wow. They didn't look that mean, though!"
"Not mean. Judgemental. Ignorant."
"Huh."

 

"Oh, so you are friends with the robot. May I ask why you came here?"

Aral'hrah pauses.
"...What?"

 

"They don't know you guys. They don't know a lot about their own history. They judge too quickly."
I explain.

 

"Well, with all the commotion surrounding this place, I thought I'd check it out myself and try to do a bit of research on it." Stephanie says, smiling.

 

"Oh. What kind of research do you do?"

"Kind of like us, though..."

 

"You know more about them then they know about you. They didn't even know you could talk."

 

"Mostly magical. I was going to look into the Ruin and Respite to see what they actually are. I also noticed an eldritch tome back there. I though I wouldn't touch it after everything I've been through with those types of gods." Stephanie explains.

 

"It smelled familiar, but I guess I could show you where you might be able to find some samples to study?"

"I didn't know they thought we were all killers."
