Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well... Good luck. It's either crazy or asleep."

 

Darnth looks at Ihra with concern.

"Well, I won't be staying much longer. A lot of the danger around here seems to have gone." Darnth says.

Darnth turns to Artemis, "But before I leave, I have a gift for you. Consider it an overdue birthday present." He says, smiling.

A green glow surrounds Darnth's hand, before dissipating. A necklace, made of thick, interwoven, dark green string hangs in his hand. A lime green, leaf-shaped crystal is attached to it; it glows faintly.

Darnth puts the necklace around Artemis' neck, "Your mother and I wanted you to have this on your 16th birthday, it's very powerful; so try not to lose it." He says smiling.

Artemis hugs Darnth, "Thanks, father." She says.

 

"You don't know what's ahead. Still, nice to meet you."

 

"Nice to meet you too." Darnth says.

"Stay safe, Artie. If you're ever in grave danger again, I'll be there to help you." Darnth says, smiling at Artemis.

"Goodbye, father." Artemis says, trying to hold back her tears.

"Farewell, Darnth." I say.

"Good luck in the after life...or spirit world...or whatever it is." Abigail says.

In a flash of green light, Darnth is gone.

 

"So... I hear you have a problem with a certain Voidwalker, Abigail..."
Ihra jumps on Rineth's back and stretches lazily across it.

 

Abigail seems confused, "You mean Nyre? I have 99 problems and he's definitely one of them." She says.

 

"No, me."
He turns to Ihra.
"You realize I may want to revert?"
"Later." She yawns.

 

"Oh...uh, heh heh. What? No, no no no. You're, uh, you're cool with me!" Abigail says nervously, backing away.

"I think you two are going to have a, heated, argument." I say, a pair of sunglasses appearing over my eyes.

 

"Your words say otherwise."
"Don't complain about my semi-omnipotent caretaker."
"Ihra, this isn't your affair."

 

"Wh-What? I-Im not lying! You're like, the coolest you can be with me!" Abigail says, shaking slightly.

"It looks like Abigail, can't stand the heat." I say, finger-gunning.

"If you could not joke about our friend who's about to be murdered, I'd appreciate it." Artemis says flatly.

"But I'm having the time, of my life." I say, summoning the Watch of True Time and finger-gunning again.

"That was a stretch and you know it." Artemis says with a slightly annoyed tone.

 

Other than the draconian which spoke before, there are two humanoid beings. One is wearing black robes and has wings. The other also has wings, but they are now folded as a cloak. She seems a bit younger than teenaged and is wearing a short purple dress. She notices Abigail's suspicious glances and tries to avoid them.
The older one with the black robes turns to AJ and says, "AJ, stop messing with my ability to sense darkness. It's distracting having something pulsing away darkness for fun."
A voice says in your head, Well, when I said it wasn't a good idea earlier... maybe do it a bit for me?
It doesn't seem like anyone else can hear the voice. Maybe you drank too much? (OOC: Had to)

OOC: Wait, what? Since when did Ihra know words like omnipotent?! I didn't know that word until I was about 11. GG.

 

I pulse darkness, so much the area around me turns dark. I grin, "To whomever it concerns, your request has been fulfilled." I think to myself.

 

"I won't hurt her, but she needs to curb her distrust. I know what you called me. I might not be your elder directly, but I won't stand to have my name tainted."

OOC: There are three zeroes behind that seven.

"Hi, Eras!"
Ihra slides off Rineth.

 

"Wh-What? I n-never called you my elder!" Abigail says, still nervous.

"I think she doesn't trust you after the incident in the lava earlier." Artemis says to Rineth telepathically, her leaf crystal glowing.

"Looks like Abigail is cracking, under the pressure." I say, finger-gunning once more, smiling under my shades.

 

"Rineth was an ancient. He's the oldest of our kind thus far."
"I've been alive for half the conflict. I'm an elder, I don't care if you call me an elder, but I am what I am."

 

Hehehe... I can see you're going to be much more fun than Eras- OW!
Eras chuckles silently.

OOC: I meant mental age. I keep getting mixed up. But yeah, if I say 7, I mean 7000 but 7 in mental age.

"Ihra! What happened earlier when we were fighting the Serpent? I didn't see you and the others go but one second you were there, the other you had gone."

 

"No idea. Ask AJ. I woke up on a bed."

 

"O-Ok, Elder Rineth. You're cool with me!" Abigail says nervously, taking a few more steps back.

Abigail trips and falls backwards, vine hands catch her before she hits the ground.

"Looks like Abigail, needs a chill pill." I say, finger-gunning again.

"What? That doesn't even make sense!" Artemis says.

"Because she's really nervous and needs to calm down, and chill is the opposite of warm." I say defensively.

"Alright calm down, don't get so heated." Artemis replies.

"I'm a Shadow not a Flame Guardian!" I say, annoyed.

Artemis laughs to herself quietly.

 

"Do you know why both you and Ihra disappeared? Ihra says that she was on a bed when she woke up."

 

"Oh yeah, I remember," I say, "Ihra's staff shocked her and knocked her out, I took her to my room in the Realm of Shadows for safety. I forgot that the Realm of Shadows has adverse effects on non-shadows without empowerment or magic, so I took her back to...this world, and then she recovered."

"That feels like a while ago, doesn't it?" Artemis says to me.

"Time sure flies!" I say, holding up the Watch of True Time and finger-gunning.

Artemis sighs, "Take those shades off, I think they're affecting your thoughts." She says.
