Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I think so. How long've we been out for?"

 

"As far as I know, two hours. Then again, I got here two hours ago."

 

Perry and I are teleported to the front of a house in the countryside on earth, a calm breeze blowing by. The house looks large and spacious, and a driveway leads out across the countryside, presumably to a more suburban area. I walk up to the front door, ringing a doorbell, and a female forest guardian soon opens it.

"Oh, hello your majesty! You've arrived just in time, we've just finished cleaning up the house," The forest guardian says, "And you must be Perry! It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Lily, and I'll be looking after you along with a couple of others."

Lily smiles at Perry, offering a handshake.

 

Perry accepts the handshake, beaming.
"You have the same name as the nice maid who gave me food at the castle!" She says happily.

"Oh. Well, I hope it's just that. Did you ever decide on a plan?"

 

"For what? The Inhibitor's destroyed, a friend of mine should be working on it right now."

 

"Really? Well, I hope I can be as nice as she was!" Lily says happily, stepping aside to let Perry and I enter.

"Charlie, Perry is here!" Lily calls into the house.

 

Perry seems confused, letting her mantis toy slowly start to wander the house.
"Aww, wait, I forgot Wolfy!" She complains.

Akli'il seems surprised.
"Your friend what?"

 

"My friend destroyed the Inhibitor, and now is working on fixing it."
I establish.

 

"That seems pointless."

 

"They though the Inhibitor was holding the Respite in, not the Ruin out. They were wrong, and rash."
I point out.

 

"Some friend..." Akli'il grunts.

 

I shrug.
"They have their way of doing things."

 

"Well, their way sounds like crap." He mumbles.

 

"Where did you last leave them?" I ask, smiling.

 

I open a portal to my throne room.
"Your goal is to make this village self-sufficient and producing revenue in three months. Failure will be punished. Understood?"

 

"Well, they also take responsibility for their actions, so just be glad they're not assholes."

 

"Wolfy's still with all my other toys." She says, still holding Lily's hand.

"Are there any abnormalities or customs I should be aware of going in?"

"Fair point."
Pause.
"You think they'll get back in time to be able to grow more food before everyone dies?"

 

"Just hoping. Though, how tough is it for you to survive with a lack of food?"

 

"We'll be hunting humans in four days at this rate."

 

"How'd you usually get your food before this?"
