Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The queen nods, remaining silent.

"I don't think they would want to make you a robotic body..." She says to seemingly nobody.

 

"What does everyone else use?"

 

A cat can be heard meowing and purring outside, before it enters the room, looking around curiously. It's quite hard to see for all but Perry, it's black fur blending in with the twilight.

"Well, Artemis uses the ocarina, Shadow Aj uses the guitar, Shadow Stephanie uses the drums and Aj uses the piano. He's...not very good at it." Stephanie says.

 

"Anybody can practice."
I point out.

 

"Yeah, he's slowly getting better, but I don't think he's really too interested. He had some motivation at the start to join in, but that sort of faded," Stephanie says, "Anyway, shall I play you a tune?"

 

"Feel free to do so."
I offer.

 

Stephanie begins playing a pleasant tune on her violin, clearly getting into the flow of playing as she closes her eyes and focuses.

 

Perry runs over to Onyx and tries to pet her.
"Kitty!"

 

Onyx seems a little startled at first, backing up a bit before letting Perry pet her, purring.

 

I take the chance to relax, opting to sit down.

 

The queen just watches as Onyx gets pet and hugged for as long as she lets Perry do so.

 

You find an office chair near the computer, and Stephanie continues to play her violin.

After playing for a while, the tune draws to and end, and Stephanie opens her eyes again.

"What did you think?" Stephanie asks, smiling.

Onyx purrs, rubbing up against Perry as she's hugged, enjoying her company.

 

"Very nice."
I compliment.
"I certainly couldn't do better."

 

"Do you not play any instruments?" Stephanie asks, putting her violin back.

 

The Mantis toy slowly bends down, looking at Onyx before opening a telepathic connection.
"Are you a toy as well? You seem to bring the young lady joy."

 

"Never got around to learning any. I didn't exactly have any on hand as I traveled."

 

"im a cat, but im also a purrson! i believe my kind is called a neko" Onyx responds happily.

"That's a shame. Do you want to try playing an instrument now? Or do you want to continue with the tour?" Stephanie asks.

 

"I'll take a shot at the piano, if nobody will mind."
I say, standing up.

 

"Give it a shot. I'm sure Aj won't mind." Stephanie says, smiling.

 

"Alright."
I walk over to the piano, sitting down on the bench. I quickly go over the keys, forwards and backwards. I proceed to prepare myself, then play an extremely fast song, clearly with something meant to be sung alongside it. I seem to be off key a few times, but there's never a beat without a note.
