"Is there any way for you to be smaller?" I ask
"I don't like having the kitsune barrier down for too long."

 

"But the world died. The only safe place is my room." She says.

"Nope!"

 

I think for a while, seeming to be having an internal conversation as I shake and nod my head occasionally.

 

"For a god I'd expected you to be able to change your size."

 

"The armor is also a bit limiting. Do you like the painting, though? I think it's almost as pretty as me." She says, grinning. "Besides, if anyone sees me here, they won't mess with you. Did I ever tell you what my job is as a god?"

"Are you okay, mister Aj?" Perry asks, confused.

 

"I'm just...I don't like seeing you or anyone else being forced to live like this, but I don't know what I can do to help you since you're part of a royal family, and your sister is actively trying to kill you." I say, frustrated.

 

"You've never shown them?"
I ask, following her out of the tunnel and looking around.

 

"I like to keep it...private." Stephanie says.

It appears to be a massive icy cave within. On one side, there appears to be an icy slide heading into the wall, while on the other appears to contain a pool of icy looking water, , as well as various ice sculptures. A small wooden desk and chair resides at the back of the cave, presumably brought in by Stephanie.

 

"But I like it... Missy Maralune keeps me company."

 

"But...don't you want to experience a world with fresh air, green grass and lively animals? Like if you had twenty four hours outside every day instead of one a week." I ask.

 

"Woah... twenty four?!" She asks, awestruck.

 

"I don't know how I'll be able to do that for you, which is the dilemma I'm at, but I don't want you stuck in your room like this. It's wrong." I say.

 

Perry just waits, seemingly silent other than the squeaking Mantis toy as it moves a bit again.

 

"Not really. Didn't even knew you existed before yesterday."

 

"Well, for the better or for the worse, let me introduce myself again. I'm Xlentia, Deity of Decay and High Goddess of The Void. My job as a high god is to... well... long story short, erase people from history. All traces, memories, writings; gone with the blink of an eye." She grins. "Of course, such power is accompanied by my beauty."

She's awfully full of herself...

 

"Do you want to go see your mother now?" I ask after a pause.

 

"Sure! Can Missy Maralune come too?" Perry asks, heading towards the doorway.

 

"Of course!" I say happily, opening a portal at the door to the medical ward in the Shadow Palace.

 

Perry turns and carries her Mantis toy through the portal, before freezing up a few steps in from fear.

 

"Has anyone ever told you that you talk too much about you?"
