Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Abigail keeps hugging Ihra, sobbing.

Artemis and I run over; puzzled looks on our faces.

"Abigail, are you alright?" Artemis asks with concern.

"What happened?" I ask, confused.

"Ihra was shown the memory of the time in which you first met Abigail; and the events prior to that." Darnth says calmly.

Abigail keeps crying.

 

"I was imprisoned for attempting to contaminate a rival's rations. Ten years for attempted murder."

"I've got a barrier around you. You're wanted back at some place called Solignis... I think. Bah, I'm horrid with directions... and names."
I take a moment to collect myself.
"Forgive me for the... everything. I was told to check on you, see if you're alive. I wasn't actually told what to do if you were."

Ihra just goes with it.
"This is what's haunting about my curse." Vei whispers.
"Their stories... I'm given no choice but to listen. Justified or not, I'm forced to remember everything..."

 

"That doesn't sound pleasant in the slightest," Darnth whispers back, "Nobody is born evil."

Abigail stops hugging Ihra, wiping her eyes.

"I won't let them get to me..." She says, trying to cheer up.

 

"Look, I won't kill you. No, I'll give you a fate worse than death. You know what I'm going to do?" I open my spell book to a page. "Im going to force your soul out of your body and into a vessel. A vessel where you cannot do anything whatsoever. Now, I want you to close your eyes and meditate. Think of your actions. Think of your life. I will make his quick and painless." I grab a black crystal from my bag, and place it in between me and the prisoner.

 

"Very well, I'll go then. Thank you."

 

"No... While true, not all of us have a choice."

"They won't get to you. We'll kill them if they try."
"Ihra!"
"Or maybe talk to them before we kill them."
Vei sighs.

"Sounds like prison. Hurry up."

"Back to Solignis, or do you have a den or something? Is it even called Solignis?"

"Reflet, that place Faelar was at is called Solignis, right?"

 

"It is."

"Solignis, for the time being, I think. Might as well let people know I'm okay. And I have a friend who fled to that area that I'd like to see."

 

"True" I read the instructions once more, then I shout out a spell which words cannot describe. I then put my hands up, and the candle lights begin to flicker.

 

"Some of us are born to do evil, but that doesn't mean we don't have a choice. I think it's better to overcome your evil nature through great strength, than to simply be born good." Darnth says.

"Well, if we're talking in the literal sense, it's impossible they can come back for revenge. I already slaughtered them with Stephanie." I say calmly.

Artemis gives Abigail a warm smile. Abigail tries to smile back.

 

OOC: since my character is off doing some magic, I'll tell you how they can come back from revenge. *cough* necromancy *cough*

 

"Is your friend by chance Yhrey?"

The prisoner shows no signs of fear. He simply stares at you, waiting.

"Our decisions aren't always our own." Vei mutters.

"Oh. Well... that's good."

 

I look at the prisoner in the yes, and then smile. "Good, you're showing no signs of fear." I shout out another spell, and there is a tugging in the prisoner's soul, as well as mine. "You'll feel a sharp pain for about a second."

 

OOC: I wouldn't advise it, especially while Darnth is around.

Darnth glances at me.

"Then you shouldn't feel responsible for them." Darnth says.

"It was one of the first things I asked of you." Abigail says, "I don't know why they hurt me like that; though I can at least be happy knowing they were slaughtered for what they did."

Abigail gives a weak smile.

 

"You know of him? I mean yes, he is."

 

OOC: Is it because the undead are basically the opposite of life? Because that creates complications.

 

OOC: Not only do Forest Guardians have a particular disliking for necromancy, if you try to harm Artemis, Abigail or Aj while Darnth is around, I can assure you he will be less than pleased.

 

OOC: That was more than obvious :P

 

"Justification is no excuse for massacre."

"Earlier I found him with a crossbow bolt through his scales. Ended up getting one of my partners to heal him, but he wouldn't stop growling at me or her."

He waits, unmoving.

 

"... ... We really don't have any other way of communicating besides roaring... I'm only able to speak in people's heads because I had a Rider."

 

"True," Darnth says, "So you're saying you were used as a weapon?"
