Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That may be true, but do they attack? The ownership of weapons makes a murderer not." Artemis says.

 

"My son was killed because one managed to slip around the wall. I cannot just trust them!"

 

"The one I have with me means no harm to anyone." Artemis says, motioning Tirra over.

Tirra walks over with the raptor.

 

They freeze up, and the raptor seems equally nervous.
"Please don't pluck me."
"I... won't."
"Then I don't want to hurt you."

 

"They mean you no harm, don't worry," Artemis says to the raptor, petting them gently, "Can't you see these creatures aren't the murderous monstrosities you were made to believe they were?"

 

"My parents were murdered by humans of a nation called Vyraxis. My parents had asked for a peace treaty with them but they refused, we thought it wouldn't make much of a difference back then so we allowed it. And after a month... my parents were slaughtered right in front of my eyes. From that day one I swore I would avenge my parents and make sure that all who I meet sign a peace treaty. Just like your queen Laze."

 

I decide to try turning the middle dial one notch.

 

The elevator hums slightly, before the dial turns back to pointing upward.

 

I turn it again the same way, seeing if it effects the door.

 

The door doesn't budge, and the dial returns to normal.

As you turn the dial, something shuts behind you.

 

Now that the dials back, I check what's behind me.

 

There's a small hatch barely visible on the opposite wall to the dials, a handle hidden in with the wall.

 

I open the hatch, checking what's inside.

 

A thick, large book resides inside, its cover reading "DIAL CODES". The book looks too heavy to pick up, but the space inside the hatch is enough to open it.

 

"It... seems so tame..."

"Our queen never signed anything." He says, confused.
"Look, these draconians aren't humans. Besides, Vyraxis was always just straight up evil. Draconians helped take them down, so I don't see why you're so worked up."

 

I open it, looking through.

 

"You clearly weren't listening earlier Laze." I comment
"You wouldn't understand... you didn't see your parents being murdered and have your entire kin almost go extinct at the age of 5."

 

"Is it true that he has a couple of gods on his side?"

 

"And you didn't know exactly that went down for us." He growls. "I don't want to hear 'oh poor me' from mister high and mighty kitsune chief."

"I mean, I thought I was bad, but..." Anne comments.

"He used to. They disappeared since, and now Virei'tus has been keeping an eye on him."

 

"So, will no one bat an eye if he just...disappeared mysteriously?"
