Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis walks over to the guards, concerned.

"Is she unharmed?" Artemis asks.

 

"Knocked out, but nothing permanent." They report.

"Someone we call The Hive Master. He mind controls entire races and forces them to do his bidding. He used to also have Xlentia under his control, but a brave girl named Ihra and her friends managed to free her."

 

"Have there been any other attacks like this one?" Artemis asks.

 

"Nothing like this. This isn't normal; they're not coordinated. They're just lashing out at everything, including themselves."

 

"Why'd you destroy it?"
I ask, curious, and following Artemis.

 

"Power without order is chaos." Artemis says cryptically, shaking her head.

"I heard from a mage it was doing the opposite of what it was doing, inhibiting the Respite's spread instead of the Ruin's," Artemis says, "In another timeline, it was."

Artemis' voice in her second sentence sounds a lot like mine.

 

"I mean, if I see that blade correctly, you're the one who threw them into chaos. I'm not sure if they really have as much power as they think."

 

I don't seem to care much.
"Huh. Alright."

 

"Sounds like he's pretty strong if you haven't been able to deal with him yet."

 

"They were being fed lies. We need to control them, show them how you've managed to survive the Ruin so they can understand you're equal to them." Artemis says.

"So how have you been recently?" Artemis asks, her face looking grim but her tone sounding happy.

 

"The goal is to save as many people as possible. Everyone we fight is under his control; they could be a soldier, but most were just parents tending to their children before they were mind controlled and forced to fight."

"...I thought you came to help bring the respite to more than just their kingdom?"

 

"I've been trying to solve the war here preferably without mass genocide, but other than that, I'm holding up. What about you and AJ?"

 

"I did, but with the change of circumstances, you will need to fix the problems within them while we try to fix the problems with the land." Artemis says.

"We've been attempting the same in a way, as you've seen. It's...hurtful to see a world like this. Plants are twisted and withered, and I can feel their pain. It's not natural." Artemis says.

"Found some relics, went to space, fought an evil sorcerer in space, got a spaceship, ate pizza." I say through Artemis casually.

 

"What kind of relics?"
I address AJ.

 

"What can I do to help?" I ask

 

"A set of necklaces that are said to grant godlike power if all three are brought together. The sorcerer was trying to gather them for evil, but I'm pretty sure he's dead, or trapped in space, or both. Artemis and I got Power and Wisdom, we just need to recover Courage and bring them together." I say through Artemis.

 

"Where would Courage be?"

 

"We have no idea. That's what we were looking for before we came here." Artemis says.

"To be fair we lucked out on Power and Wisdom." I say through Artemis.

 

"So, where's Power and Wisdom now?"

 

"But... we aren't their leaders. Don't the king and queen need to calm them down?"

Ragnyon pauses.
"Well, for starters, you could stop asking for a peace treaty. We're not against you."
