Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He and the dragon pull off of the attack at the same time, resuming circling. "...It appears you've lost it. Alright then." He jumps on the back of his dragon. "I have a real dragon to catch."

He flies off into the forest in the direction the other dragon went.

OCC: "someone eating burnt" Tf that was supposed to be burnt popcorn. O.o

 

A wall of earthen spikes is brought up in front of him.
"Not a real dragon? Now, I'd take offense if that was true... but it's not. Prove to me you're a half-decent opponent and I'll show you another form."
I charge at him from the skies.

 

"Only if you prove it first, runt."

He raises his hammer and lightning begins to rain down on your head.

 

I raise my rapier skywards, and it absorbs the energy of the storm, every bit of it.
"Made you look."
The clone of me dissipates as I rake his dragon's side with my broadsword.

 

The broadsword doesn't even pierce the dragon's scales.

"Genius." I scoff. "Hitting a dragon with a regular sword."

The dragon flips around and attempts to hit your weapons out of your grip with his claws and tail, while Lariuth fires another bolt of lightning out of his hammer, directly at your heart.

 

I let it hit, dissipating.
"Except that it's not. Run from the light."
Four beams of light move rapidly towards the dragon.
"What's the point of strength if you can't hit me, idiot?"

 

"Ooooh light, scary."

"Strength? This is nothing. I don't see what throwing lightning around has to do with strength. Clearly I'm not the idiot here. Well, I suppose you aren't the only one who can't be hit."

He reflects the light back at you.

 

"Actually, you are. Take a moment to figure out where you are."
Spoiler: It's not the forest.
"Let me know when you're ready to rumble, all safeties off."

The light is just normal light...

 

OOC: I assume since a few turns have passed, I'm back at the stronghold?

"Welcome to my pocket dimension. Circular arena for duels like these. I figured, we could do this a few ways. Tell me why you're hunting that dragon, and I might spare yours. If I don't like why, then I'll show you the power of a demigod."
It's just black, borders faintly illuminated.

 

OOC: Alright.
I run to my home, and push a bookshelf away from a wall, revealing my set of necromancy spells. I pull out one of them and put it in my bag, before pushing the bookshelf back. I then go to the captains of the stronghold.

 

"If you would stop threatening my friend, that'd be nice." He mutters, thinking for a moment. "I need a dragon's soul. It's the only way humans can survive in the Varden Forest. You see, a rather ungrateful and immortal brat took the hammer of my great great I'm sparing you of all the greats grandfather. I rather want that hammer back, it really meant a lot to my ancestor. Sooo... I'm collecting the souls of dragons to reach the inner forest. And no, the linked soul of my partner only sustains me in the outer forest, it isn't enough to go for long."

 

"Why can't you send me? I've been a guinea pig for a while now. I understand your frustration, but I don't think it's worth an innocent life. I'll do it if you tell me where it is- assuming you spare the other dragon."

"Back already? What happened?"

 

"... It's in the Core. I'd leave the dragon alone but... I don't know if you want to try going down there."

 

"Lots of things. If you can't realize, I'm wooden now. I need to ask a favor. I need a prisoner who is sentenced to be executed."

 

"I don't know what to do with my time, but my energy is better saved for ambushes than spent on you. I don't care if you don't trust me. I'm going, and if I find out you killed the dragon anyways, I'm sending my companions after you. They're a lot stronger in engaging fights than I am."
The illusion fades; we've been on the ground not far from the fight.
"Though, the open pits of magma probably aren't good for the forest."

"Sorry, long night."
"I'll give the order. Are you coming, or waiting here?"

 

"Right..." He mutters, closing the crevices.

 

"I'll be waiting at my old home. Theres a spell I have to do." I quickly walk back to my home, and light several candles in a circle around a central mat.

 

"Hey, could you maybe describe the person who did this to you in the first place?"

After a few minutes, Sir Joshua knocks.
"It is done."
