Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"They never speak, that makes no sense."

 

Artemis shrugs.

"Do you have much more information on the royals or inhibitor?" Artemis asks.

 

"Nope."

 

"Alright, I'll see if I can get anywhere with the royalty. Thanks for your help, Neal, I hope we see each other again." Artemis says happily.

 

Neal nods.
"I hope I live to see that day."

 

"Are you ill?" Artemis asks, checking Neal's life force.

 

She has none.
"...Something like that."

 

Artemis smiles gently, before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Half an hour later, Artemis appears near the Matriach's house, looking around for any raptors.

 

None around the forest, and the Matriarch seems to still be asleep.

 

Artemis just goes exploring until she finds raptors, taking a random direction and walking.

 

A raptor tribe would be a decent place to start.

 

Artemis walks over to the tribe, smiling kindly.

 

Two raptors seem to be talking under Thirteen's supervision, but another raptor just approaches Artemis.
"You look new here, too. Do you serve the same goddess that robot does?"

 

"If you mean Xlentia, then I work for her on her behalf. I am not one of her servants," Artemis says proudly, "Though I would like to ask the bravest of your tribe for assistance."

 

"The bravest, or most cooperative?" They ask, snickering.

 

"Maybe a mix between the two." Artemis says, amused too.

 

They run off and return with another raptor.
"I'll go." They say.

 

"Well, I only need you to do a simple task for me." Artemis says, smiling.

 

The first raptor heads off as the other one trots up to Artemis.
"What's that?" They ask, looking her over.

 

Artemis is still wearing her wooden armour, and her face is still covered by her mask, eyes hardly visible. Her skin looks a little darker, tanned, though it may just be natural from the sunlight.

"I need you to come with me into the human's settlement, their castle, and kneel on a rug." Artemis says.
