Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I stand up, and put my arms under her pits, hoisting her up to my chest.
"On your mark."
I whisper again.

 

"I think I'd rather use the power I gained to bring the mother back." Artemis says, narrowing her eyes behind her mask.

 

"Please do. I didn't expect you to actually kill her." The Matriarch yawns, losing her balance and standing herself back up against a tree.

She pauses.
"What do I grab onto?"

 

"Anything that's not on my sides or my back. You can cut me if you can't get a good grip."

 

She feels around before just digging her claws into your chest, nodding after moving them a bit to anchor herself on.

 

Artemis puts her hand on the prisoner's bite mark and heart, using the power she gained and slightly more to bring them back to a healthy state.

"I-I am sorry. I d-didn't know a-about your c-c-current state," Artemis apologises, weakly, using her scythe to cut them down from the tree, as well as cut their gag, "Y-Your child n-n-needs you, g-go see them."

 

"Sure you're ready?"

 

She shivers, looking at the Matriarch.
"Go. I've made sure he's still healthy."
Crying, she runs off.

"Well, I suppose you want to drain a bit from me, now?"

She hesitates before pushing her claws even deeper, before nodding.

 

I suddenly take off, aiming to go outside the castle wall, and my back to the ground as I tilt my head backwards to navigate where I'm going.

 

You're flying so low, you almost scrape your head against the ground as people try to get a glance at what's on your chest.

 

"I-If you d-don't m-mind." Artemis says, her visible skin looking incredibly pale.

 

I fly upwards by a lot, then continue my original position.

 

"I'll need you to carry me back to my chambers. I will go limp once you've drained me to sleep, and if a guard questions you, tell them 'azalea' and nothing else. Clear?" She asks, raising her head to leave her neck vulnerable.

You can head in a straight line to make your getaway, though you'll have to fly a little bit higher to be out of guard bow range.

 

"I-I-I don't k-know if I-I'll gain e-enough s-strength t-to carry y-you." Artemis says weakly.

 

I fly straight upwards, going to a height that is twice of the wall, then continue going straight.

 

"Then, like, find another prisoner and if anyone objects to your presence, just say azalea again."

It's only a minute until you can see the mantis forest directly below you.

 

I quickly spin, making my chest pointed to the ground, then upright myself to a standing position, then start my decent into the forest.

 

"Can y-y-you take m-me to a m-mass murderer o-o-or someone?" Artemis asks weakly.

 

"That works too."
The Matriarch hefts Artemis and her scythe over her shoulders, and minutes later, she dumps Artemis off next to a pile of corpses, a few fresh but many old.
The ground is thoroughly blood soaked.

The centrifugal force almost throws Fuela off and rips the flesh off your chest.
"Holy hell, glad I dug deeper!" She utters.

 

Artemis, desperate, just starts eating the corpses.
