Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Where's this lead?"
I ask, opening the hatch.

 

Artemis, annoyed, throws the fake Elkir into the moat, watching what happens to it.

 

"Any ideas Laze? You are a dragon."

 

"Back entrance."

It sinks.

"Another otherworldly creature?"

 

"Fuela, wait here."
I saw, heading down.

 

She nods.
The exit leaves you in a back alley, no windows around.

 

I take a quick look around for any people.

 

You can hear a few nearby, but you can't see them.

 

I walk along the alley a bit, looking around for anyone.

 

You can still hear the two, but you can't find them.

 

As I walk back, I make my footsteps as silent as possible and still listen.

 

Artemis tries dipping her hand in the water to see if touching it affects her in any way.

 

Absolutely nothing.

It's just small sounds, kind of like a game of cards.

 

I go back to the opening, motion for Fuela to come down, and step away from the hatch.

 

Artemis gets into the moat and starts swimming across.

 

The moat ends directly at the stone castle wall.
"Miss, what are you hoping to achieve?" A guard asks.

Fuela and the mage come down at your signal.
"Am I going home?" Fuela asks.

 

Artemis jams her scythe into the wall, climbing it and then swinging on it to gain momentum.

 

Her scythe bounces off some kind of protective coating.
"Heh, don't think you're the first to try that." The guard taunts.

 

Artemis thinks for a while, before swimming back to shore and staring at the guard, seeming to try and gain a trajectory.

 

The guard's ducking behind a battlement again.
