Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Alright."
Lifting the one I grabbed up, I slam it into the group and start dragging it around, getting it dirty.

 

They cringe, bones and bloody feathers sticking out everywhere. Looks exactly like a mangled corpse.

 

Artemis walks over to Eklir and lifts up her mask slightly, before biting into Eklir's neck and draining some of his blood, but leaving him with plenty. Artemis removes her fangs and slides her mask back down.

"Thank you," Artemis says, "I need the blood to imprint a false version of you onto a blank, so it looks like a dead version of you."

 

"You're what?" He asks, using the withered grass to cover up the wound (albeit that doesn't do much to stop the bleeding).

 

"Sorry if it looks bad, but I 'killed' Eklir by carrying him as I flew up, then I flew down and drove him into the ground."
I state, crushing the body a bit more around the chest.

 

"Looks... pretty believable to me."

 

The wound seems to hardly bleed.

"It should hold the guards off for long enough, and it's better than ending your life. Wouldn't you say the same?" Artemis asks.

 

"I'm hoping so, alright."
I say, slinging the body over my shoulder.
"I'll be off. And I should try flying to avoid Akli'il, correct?"

 

Eklir opts to just pinch the small holes shut for a while.
"If you killed him, you'd be given a free trip off a cliff." One of the raptors growl.

"With that sight? Definitely."

 

"Alright. I'll be off."
I say, stepping away from the pile and flying off.

 

"If you attempted to kill me, in this form, then you'd find the tables would turn." Artemis says ominously behind her mask.

 

"How about you go and try then."

 

"I wouldn't attempt, I'd just kick you out of my territory. Don't you know what respect is, lady?"

You can see Artemis conveniently distracting Akli'il below.

The guards just peek over the battlements.
"You know the drill."

"If you intend to light me on fire, you aren't leaving our home alive."

 

I land on the ground.
"Here he is."
I drop the body.
"I crushed and skidded him, so he's not exactly going to look like a freshly dead body."

 

"I do. You just seemed rather hostile over something so trivial." Artemis says calmly.

 

"You must never have heard how things work out here, then."

The drawbridge drops.
"Give it to us on your way in."

 

I walk in, looking for who to hand it to.

 

There's a small table, no guards standing out in the open.

 

I lay the body on the table, and wait for someone to come out.

 

Nobody does.
"Go on."
