Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yes, but I think it would be easier if you gave me a description of the raptor instead of forcing me to seek out my friend. You're the one that wants him dead, no?" Artemis asks.

 

The guard just leaves.

 

Artemis tries to figure out a way over the moat, looking for any faux-bridges.

 

There's not even a start of a bridge.

 

Artemis looks for signs of life underground hinting at hidden tunnels.

 

There are tunnels, but they're filled.

 

Artemis looks at her scythe, before shaking her head and heading back south, intending to try and find Thirteen.

 

Thirteen doesn't seem to be with the group of raptors.

 

"Excuse me, do you know of a raptor that caused trouble at a marketplace recently?" Artemis asks the raptors.

 

"Eklir?"
"Northwest."

 

"Thank you." Artemis says, heading Northwest.

 

There seems to be a couple raptors bickering with each other after Artemis passes a few patrols.
"Still not yet."
"He must've been lying. Screw his plan!"
"Chief, you have a bargaining chip. They want my cooperation."
"Right- hey."
They turn to Artemis.
"The hell do you want?"

 

"I'm looking for Eklir." Artemis says.

 

"Alright then." With a non-beveling tone
"Anyways the reason he didn't die in the fire was because he was a kitsune-dragon half breed. Dragons are immune to fire while kitsunes can't be killed unless their tails are cut off simultaneously. So your plan to kill them didn't work."

 

"For?"

"You're full of shit, but the kitsune part makes sense."

 

"Assistance." Artemis says.

 

"I'm not letting you kill him."

 

"Why do you think I want to kill him?" Artemis asks.

 

"Who doesn't want to kill me, other than Chief?" A green-necked raptor adds from the side.
"Eklir, run."
"No."

 

"I want you to pretend you're dead." Artemis says.
