Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I thought you said the house was burnt down? And now you are saying you caused it to burn?" I ask with a concerned face

 

Artemis thinks for a bit.

"Where did the Ruin come from?" Artemis asks.

 

I check is any might look like Eklir.

 

"I don't know."

"I told you, I burned down the throne room and everyone in it." Anne says, annoyed.

None are even the same color.

 

"Does anyone?" Artemis asks.

 

"The royalty, probably."

 

"Would I be allowed to speak to them?" Artemis asks.

 

"I dunno. You could try approaching their gate."

 

"Where is it?" Artemis asks.

 

"North. You'll find a giant castle wall, just don't get thrown off the cliff; it's a long drop."

 

"Ok, thank you for all your help, Matriarch. I'll hang up this painting and put on some armour for the journey." Artemis says, bowing respectfully.

 

"Thank you. Good luck."

 

Artemis leaves the Matriarch's house, taking out a dark crystal once outside and disappearing. A while later, Artemis re-appears, wearing wooden armour consisting of a chestplate which seems to just cover her front, shoulder and wrist guards, knee guards that seem to grow up her leg to her thigh, and a wooden mask that covers her entire face, barring her eyes which are visible through small slits. Various green swirling designs pattern the sides of Artemis' mask.

Artemis heads north, following the Matriarch's directions, holding her scythe ready.

 

She approaches a moat of tainted, murky water as a guard peeks over a battlement.
"Who are you, where are you from, and what is your business here?"

 

"Artemis, Earth, inquiries about the Ruin." Artemis says.

 

"You're an outsider, too. Thus, we'll make you the same deal we made the robot; bring us the corpse of the raptor from the marketplace rampage and we'll let you in."

 

"Marketplace rampage?" Artemis asks.

 

"Cut the acting and go get the corpse." They bark.

 

"I'm sorry, but you've given me little to no information. I wasn't here when the marketplace rampage occurred, so I do not know who to look for." Artemis says calmly.

 

Pause.
"Do you know the robot?"
