Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"She, with me,"
I start, then realize something.

"Are you okay?"

 

"Huh? Why would a human be working for you? Are you sure they're not a spy for the kingdom?"

 

"She's not human."
I correct.
"And she's not working for the kingdom."

 

"She looks like a woman to me."

 

"And I look like an eyeless man."

 

"I'm fine," Artemis says, "It's nice to find you here. What's this realm like?"

 

"Look around, lady." One of the raptors says, flailing their wings about to emphasize the purple sky, green sun, and withered and twisted foliage.

"Okay, point taken."

 

Artemis kneels down, gently checking over some of the foliage to try and identify what's causing it to wither.

 

"Very well." I say, then fly in a random direction till I see something of interest.

 

"Then it looks like we are both on a loss." I respond

 

"Halfdragons are rare. I was hoping you'd know, mister knows-everything."

The foliage seems long dead, and corrupted to a slight degree.

The random direction winds up being west.
There's another village, but you encounter their farmlands first where you find a horse pulling a plow, albeit without anyone controlling it.

 

"You know, just because I know a lot doesn't mean I know everything." I tell him
"Besides, we should take them somewhere private before someone else discovers this."

 

Laze picks them up with his tail.
"I'll drag him into a cave, though I'd rather you stun him with... not a full-on lightning spell."

 

"Funny." I remark
"That wasn't a full lightning spell. It was simply a basic stun. A full power one would of killed him or worse."

 

"Well, use another."

 

Artemis puts her hand on the ground, raising it and attempting to grow a rose.

 

After a couple hours the prisoner finally awakes and speaks
"Wh-where am I?"

 

The rose grows, but it comes up withered and twisted, emphasis on the thorns on the stem.

"Answering questions. Naoto, handle this."

 

Artemis attempts to purify the rose, trying to turn it into a mental image of a normal red rose.

 

"Told you she wasn't human."
I say to the raptors.
