Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The green figure seems to notice.

"That gauntlet is nothing but trouble. Stay away from it, you have no need for it." The green figure says.

The green figure turns to Artemis momentarily, "Good girl, I can see you've done the right thing." he says.

The green figure turns to Ihra and Vei, "You must be the girl and her mother I've been told about. I can assure you Aj is deeply sorry for his actions, he didn't mean to kill you." he says.

"Sorry, Ihra. Sorry, Vei." I say sorrowfully, looking down.

"My name is Darnth, I'm Artemis' father." Darnth says, offering Vei a handshake.

 

I wait for a while, before looking thourghly crossed. "This attempt at getting a boon out of him is a waste of my precious time." I shake my head and pull out a small pocket watch from one of my bags. "I have to get someone to do this, quick."

"Aj, I thoroughly despise you, yet I ask a boon from you! Create a clone of yourself is all I request!" I shout over to Aj, still with anger and disgust in my voice.

 

THE GAUNTLET...

It certainly isn't going anywhere...

 

"There's a greater chance of me turning into a Light Creature than there is of me cloning myself." I shout back.

"Do not trust him, Aj. He's part demon." Darnth says to me.

I summon pair of white, glowing rings, "Shall I?" I ask.

 

"Agh! No use! No use! No use!" I shake my head, looking thoroughly stressed.

I run towards the gauntlet, grab it, and dump it into one of my bags. "I'll figure out what you are later." I start packing my bags as fast as possible.

 

Darnth disappears, appearing next to Rob, "What seems to be the problem?" He asks in a kind voice.

 

Vei accepts.
"I assume you know about her staff, then? This body is... significantly more vulnerable, more...

...Ihra, when is this?! My wings, body..."
"I didn't want you to be a Mecha anymore, mother..."

 

"I do not, actually. If you could inform me of her staff, I'd greatly appreciate it. I was only told that she was important, and that Aj had accidentally killed you." Darnth says calmly.

 

"Artemis, spare her the pressure... please."
She pats Ihra on the back as Ihra runs to hug her.

 

Darnth looks at Ihra and Vei with understanding.

"Her staff contains the souls of all its previous users, and when the current user dies, they're removed from everyone's memories." Artemis explains.

Artemis looks over at Ihra and Vei.

"H-How long are you going to stay, father?" She asks.

"As long as I need to, Artie." Darnth replies, smiling at Artemis.

 

I walk over to Darnth, after just kind of standing and watching the fight.
"Thirteen. Nice to meet you." I stick out my hand and look him in the eye.

 

I suddenly notice the darkness which is AJ again.
"Not again... what is happening now..."

 

Vei reaches out to Darnth telepathically.
"You realize I'm dead, and traditionally this is when Artemis suggested Life Guardians would go after me... though I'm not sure if you are one or not."

OOC: Sorry, I woke up, thought "I'll check the RP," opened the RP, then spent the time reading. Then forgot about people. Oops.

"Nice to meet you too. I've seldom encountered robots in my time, so excuse me if I'm a little rude or insensitive." Darnth says.

I notice, and let out a pulse of darkness.

"I am a Life Guardian, yes. I believe it would be a little hypocritical if I 'went after you' considering I'm dead too." Darnth replies telepathically, "I understand you have a great deal of care for your daughter, as do I. I'm sure we're both here for the same reason: to protect them."

 

"You're the quickest to catch on. According to AJ, Artemis will kill me if she knew. Is that correct?"
I say, quietly.

 

I'm kind of... gone now.

You notice my absence.

"Artemis was never one for robots, she doesn't like how they can live without 'Life'. It's probably best you don't tell her directly; let her come to terms with it herself." Darnth whispers.

 

"Thanks. I couldn't exactly tell if AJ was bluffing for blackmail or not by now."
I respond softly.

 

"Be careful if you don't want Artemis killing you." Darnth warns, "She can be a little, unpredictable, at times."

 

Hythania says, "You can go on... I'll look after the wyvern. You go too Idala."
"But-"
Hythania shakes her head. "You have to go. But take this before you go."
She hands Idala the purple phial from earlier.

Someone says from behind you, "Don't try to mess with Eras' powers. I mean, I would, but he doesn't usually kill me."
