Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Sure."

 

Katie heads into the ocean, diving down and swimming to her underwater palace, before eventually swimming back up, jumping out of the water and freezing the surface into a large surfboard. Katie surfs over to Kiin and motions for her to get on.

 

Kiin crawls onto the board, confused.

 

A wave picks up behind Katie as she turns the board around, surfing across the ocean and away from her home's area. After surfing out for a while, Katie turns the board around, and Kiin can see another beach in the distance with a lot of people on.

 

"Where are we going?"

 

"To get some ice-cream, of course! They always serve the best ice cream at the beach!" Katie says happily.

 

Kiin seems to calm down upon hearing that.

 

Katie surfs toward the beach, jumping off her board once she gets to shallower waters. A few humans play about in the water, while most seem to be enjoying the sun and the sandy beach. Katie heads up the beach to a series of huts, all serving food of some kind.

 

Kiin follows closely, nervous.

 

A few people give Kiin strange or confused looks, but mostly don't interact with her.

The pair walk by a small group of people, a mother and father and their two children, both girls. The mother carries one on her shoulders, while the father guides the other child.

"Dwagon!" The child on top of her mother's shoulders says, pointing at Kiin happily.

 

Kiin gives them a nervous glance, staying closer to Katie as they walk.

 

Katie offers her hand for Kiin to hold, smiling.

"There's nothing to be scared of here, Kiin." Katie says happily.

 

Kiin takes Katie's hand.
"Why is being a dragon make me be yelled at?" She asks timidly.

 

I decide not to fly up.
"Hello!"
I call up.

 

"What do you want?"

 

"You know, you don't need to have that face all the time." I say mockingly

 

"You know, you could've kept an eye on your people and I wouldn't be angry with you."

 

"You weren't yelled at, they were just happy to see a being as rare as yourself." Katie says happily.

 

"I don't follow." I say questioningly

 

"To enter."
