Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I nod, and take a knee down.

 

"She flanked with Eklir. I wouldn't be surprised if he hid her somewhere in that city, since I saw them sneak through the gate." He whispers.

 

"Thanks,"
I whisper back.
"Should I ask Eklir about it or investigate myself?"

 

"Asking Eklir will probably tip of Akli'il. I can't say I'd want to be in your position right now."

 

"I'll do it myself, then."
I stand up.
"Thanks."

 

Aral'hrah nods.
"Don't... get caught again."

 

"I got caught by a friend that time."
I say, handing him the report.
"I don't even know if the city dislikes me."

 

"Ah, but notice my wording." I say, "I said 'what if'. I was being hypothetical."

The copy eats the flower.

 

"If you were jailed, then probably."

The villager looks disgusted.
"Oh, you... now I have to get another!" They say angrily, throwing the pot at your feet before storming off.

 

"Jailed by a friend. Also, the guards seemed to not mind when I took Eklir and faked his death."

 

"We'll see, I guess. If your friend isn't there... then what?"
Pause.
"Bah, screw it. I hate planning."

 

"It's hard to when you don't know everything. I'll be seeing you."
I say, starting to make my way to the castle by walking.

 

"The flower was consumed, and therefore my business is done." I say, flying up to see if there is anything of my concern occurring in the village.

 

"Don't worry, Kiin." Aquira says, giving Kiin one last hug goodbye before boarding her ship and leaving.

 

"Not by you." She shouts back.
The only thing visible is the woman shaking her head as she enters the village center, the unified sound of locks latching echoing throughout the village.

Kiin makes a beeline for Katie and hugs her, crying.

Aral'hrah waves you off as he discusses the report with his tribe.

You're stopped at the gate. Or, at least, it closes as you approach.

 

Katie tries her best to soothe Kiin, hugging her back.

"It's ok. Mum always comes back." Katie says, watching the ship leave.

 

"Why can't we go...?" Kiin sobs.

 

"Mum gets into very dangerous battles out at sea. She's doing it to protect us," Katie says, wiping away Kiin's tears and smiling at her, "Do you want to come play some video games?"

 

"N-no, not really." She sobs, trying to calm down.

 

"How about we go get some nice ice-cream?" Katie offers, smiling.
