Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Fine, take me to her. I'll show you that she attacked us first."

 

Virei'tus locks the entire palace and city in stasis, concerned.
"Aj, I'm sorry." He says, still scanning.
Nyx seems to be just a puddle of toxins and scimitars.

"Eklir?" Everyone asks simultaneously.

 

"You're not the one at fault here." Eve and I say.

There doesn't appear to be anything around anymore.

 

The dragon walks to the middle of the mountains, a dragoness laying dead inside.
She seems to have been stunned with lightning magic, then torn apart by frozen claws, a gasp of pain on her face seemingly frozen in time, the mark of your village singed into the cave wall.
"If not you, one of your people. And as chief, are you not responsible for their actions, and by relation, crimes?"

"Are you blaming Nyx?" He asks, linking to Tenebrae.
"Lady Tenebrae, did you just... remove that shadow from your realm?"

 

"Partially." Eve and I say.

There's no response from Tenebrae.

 

Nyx leaps out of her puddle.
"What the hell did you want me to do?" She half-screams, flustered.

 

"Something is wrong here. This claw marks. They're, fresh. She didn't die a while go. She died recently, very recently. And that mark is ours but we haven't used that mark since my parents were killed." I say very carefully
"Whoever did this to your queen. Is still here."

 

"If it wasn't for you, I highly doubt this would've happened. You took your time killing the Shadow where we would've made it instant, giving a chance for...this to happen." Eve and I say.

 

"She died exactly one year, eight days, and three hours ago." The dragon says, unamused with your claim.
Anne, however, seems to be on alert.

"You realize I never got an opportunity to land a single hit?" She protests.

 

"Nonetheless, if you hadn't started handling the executions yourself, I'm am 91.4% certain that this would not have happened." Eve and I say.

 

"Why didn't the guards tell me to not to do things myself? Also, isn't that the whole reason you let me down there in the first place?"

 

"One year, eight days, three hours.... that was the Kitsune Festival. Everybody was outside that day. And everyone was on high alert."
Suddenly an arrow is shot at Naoto but Naoto dodges it.

 

"Yes, but I thought you would've been more efficient in your killings, not taking a slow, five minute and nine second poison procedure." Eve and I say.

 

The dragon lets out a low growl.
"Prophet guide us..." They mutter as Anne darts outside.

"What part of 'poison' did you not get clued in from 'toxin?' I told you I wanted to test it compared to your healer's healing abilities, and that's what I did."

 

"I thought it would've been more instant. And you almost killed some of our best healers, too." Eve and I say.

 

"Instant doesn't make them suffer. Geez, did everything I asked and said get lost in translation?!" She asks, exasperated.

 

"You can cause suffering in an instant, you know." Eve and I say.

 

"The toxin hurts the entire time. The longer they suffer, the better."

 

"So does our execution method. We have a way of...stretching out the time," Eve and I say, "However, we don't leave openings for escapes."

 

I grab Anne by the tail before she darts outside
"Don't even think about going outside." I mutter
