Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Inside the throne room with the queen. You're in luck, he's doing appeals today." The guard says.

 

Nyx nods.
"Would Angela be able to guide me to the throne room?" She asks.

 

"She can, though she cannot enter. Give your name and title to the guard at the door to the throne room, he'll let you skip queue." The guard says, opening the gates with the other guard for Nyx.

 

Nyx nods, glancing at Angela.

 

Angela walks through the gates, heading up to the palace doors and into the palace. A massive pair of doors stands at the other end of an equally massive hallway opposite the entrance doors, the hallway stretching from left to right, turning at each end.

"U-Uhm, there's the throne room doors." Angela says nervously, pointing at the queue of people at the massive doors, a pair of guards letting people in one by one.

 

Nyz approaches the guards, smiling.

 

"Back of the queue, miss." The guard says, pointing to the end of the queue of various beings; mostly Shadows and Guardians though.

 

"My name is Nyx the Second, demigod of pain and daughter of the goddess of suffering and death. Hemomancer, nethergrasper, and master of 27 high demons. I request to speak with the king." She says, unmoving.

 

"Oh, terribly sorry, Nyx. I'll let you in right away, I'll just notify the King of your presence." The guard says, entering the throne room.

A while later, the guard leaves, along with the Shadow that heads to the exit of the palace.

"You're free to enter." The guard says, opening the massive door for Nyx. He can only manage to create a gap the size of a normal doorway, however.

 

She nods, entering.
Upon seeing you, she pauses.
"...Hello."

 

I sit in my throne in my larger form, next to Shadow Stephanie.

"Greetings, demigoddess Nyx. What brings you to the Realm of Shadows?" I ask.

 

"I wanted to ask if you could gather your best healers as I test my mother's poisons on your prisoners. If given permission, I am curious if your healing prowess can surpass my mother's greatest toxin."

 

"We can give you a few prisoners set for execution, if you'd like." Shadow Stephanie offers.

"I'll send a notice to the healers, and have an escort take you to the dungeons." I say.

 

Nyx nods.
"Thank you, your highnesses... or should I say, Aj and Stephanie?"

 

"'Your highnesses' is favoured. Does your culture call your royalty by name?" Shadow Stephanie asks, curious.

 

"No, but you did come knocking at my door hoping I'd just give up an artifact the other day." She says. "I assume you remember my offer to introduce you to a few demons that you cordially turned down?"

 

"Ah, yes I remember you. Changed your mind on the artefact at all?" I ask, smiling.

 

"Not in the slightest." She winks. "So, when should I expect the experiments?"

 

"Very soon. Your escort should be waiting outside for you by now." I say.

 

"Thank you. I hope your healers don't disappoint."
