Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, um, I was just sort of curious what kind of magic you use." Angela says, smiling.

 

"Hemomancy and nethergrasp. Why do you ask?" She asks, suspicious.

 

"Nethergrasp?" Angela asks, confused.

 

"It's better to show than say. Care for a brief demonstration?"

 

"Sure!" Angela says happily.

 

"Kill someone. Or several someones, I'm not entirely sure."

"Woah. That's a weird way to throw something."
Crystal comments to Linoa.

 

The sorceress turns to Angela, eyes flaring.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are..." She says in a taunting but playful manner, eight fiery demonic beasts rising out of the ground.
"Now now, don't kill her. I just wanted to arrange introductions."
The eight hesitate before sinking back into the ground.

"So why wouldn't it be reasonable to be owed for that?"

"It's too heavy to just throw. Spinning helps give the hammer speed."

 

Angela doesn't appear to be too intimidated, seeming excited to see the beasts.

"Wow! That's amazing!" Angela says happily.

 

"They thought I was feeding you to them, sorry about that." She shrugs.

 

"Oh, you feed them people?" Angela asks, slightly worried.

 

"All the time! Thanks for reminding me, I should really feed them soon." The sorceress giggles. "Have you seen an angry demon? Ooooh boy they don't play nice."

 

"H-Heh," Angela laughs nervously, "I-I know of some angry g-genocidal d-d-demons, w-well, t-they're not always angry, I-I-I've just seen them angry."

 

"I'm not saying they don't owe me, I'm saying it probably shouldn't be so much."

"Oh, okay."
Crystal re-pays attention to the game.

 

"Then you've got an idea how they get! Well, I should find some sacrifices. Do you by chance mind taking me to the demons you know? I'd love to learn more about them! Plus, Lucy might let me off the hook from missing a payment two months ago."

"What if it isn't all that much to her?"

Throw after throw, the judges say that there's a tie, the audience roaring in applause as number 2 and 5 line up again.

 

"Uhm, s-sure! I think I have a c-crystal to t-their place." Angela says, fumbling around in her pockets before taking out a black crystal with a rune on it.

 

"Then, that works out for me. It probably isn't, even, but small things add up."

Crystal just looks, curious and attentive.

 

The sorceress seems interested.
"I suppose we should exchange names. You first?"

 

"A-Angela." Angela says nervously.

 

"Take what you can."

Two more throws and number 2 wins. Applause, podium, etc.

The sorceress holds her hand out for a handshake.
"Nyx the Second, demigod of pain and daughter of Nyx, goddess of misery and death." She says with a smile.

 

"True."
I agree.
"So, what did you think of the report?"

"Well, do you need to go now?"
