Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No, I'll be fine... sorry about the water." She says, unsteadily standing up.

 

Angela helps Ali keep her balance, trying to help.

 

Ali heads over to the sign, turns it to say closed, and moves towards her bedroom.

 

Angela, rather concerned, follows Ali.

"Do you need any help? I-I could clean up your dishes if you wanted." Angela offers.

 

"All I did was help blow up a tablet. Admittedly, I don't really deserve what they've provided for no cost."
I check to see if one is weaker than the other.

Crystal watches, curious and excited.

 

"It's fine. I can clean up in the morning... j-just help yourself to a glass of water on your way out..."

"What would that tablet do?"

They spin around and let go, the hammer flying halfway down the field.
The process repeats for all athletes each round.

 

"Alright, just...stay safe, ok?" Angela says, worried.

 

"I'll try." She says, stacking pillows up to prop herself up in bed.

 

Angela smiles, before closing the door to the bedroom for Ali.

Angela goes back to the cafe and sips her water, waiting.

 

It's quiet, nobody entering.
Angela can hear Ali throw something away from the back rooms, likely the handful of bloody tissues.

 

Angela waits until Ali goes to sleep, before sneaking into the kitchen and quietly doing the dishes for Ali.

 

She can hear coughing from Ali's bedroom partway through doing the dishes, but Ali seems to go back to sleep.

 

After finishing the dishes, Angela quietly opens the bedroom door to make sure Ali is alright.

 

There's a pool of spit and blood on the floor where she coughed, but other than that, she seems to be fine, the nosebleed having since stopped.

 

Angela grabs a few napkins and cleans up the pool of spit and blood, before closing the bedroom door. Angela grabs a napkin and writes a small note to Ali explaining that she did the dishes for her out of concern, before leaving the cafe.

Angela looks around the desert, taking a breath of air.

 

The air is blisteringly hot, seeing as it's just past noon.

 

Angela quickly leaves the desert, not wanting to get burnt or dehydrated, and heads toward the forest.

 

The forest seems to have a singed patch in the distance and a few odd animals walking about.
One is some wolf-armadillo Angela could've sworn she's heard the group complain about before.

There's a sorceress coming out of the forest off to the side, ignoring Angela.

 

Angela walks over to the sorceress.

"Hello!" Angela says politely once she reaches the sorceress.

 

The sorceress glances at her.
"What do you want?"
