Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Onyx purrs at both of them, pawing at the archer to be lifted up.

 

The archer picks her up and sits her on their shoulder and covered quiver.
"She's from the shadow palace."
"There's a portal in the library now, you just never look around."
"I know, it still seems strange. So many sudden changes."
"We're soldiers. We adapt until we die, as always."
"Of course. That does not stop us from observing."

 

Onyx purrs, rubbing her face against the archer's appreciatively.

 

The archer scratches the back of Onyx's head.
"Was she watching?"
"Yes, her eyes seemed to follow me."

 

Onyx purrs even more, seeming to relax.

 

The dagger user blinks, pausing.
"Kitty, you fight with twin claw-gauntlets... so you watched me?"
"They're similar fighting styles..."
"I'm booked, and you know how I am with cats."

 

Onyx half nods, as if to signify the dagger user is only half correct.

 

The dagger user just remains silent.

"It's okay, kitty. He only has half a grudge after neko killed his parents. You should be fine." The archer half-reassures.

 

Onyx seems shocked, before cuddling up against the archer in fear.

 

"I'm not going to kill you. You didn't hurt them; no point in spilling innocent blood."

 

Onyx still seems scared, trying to hide from the dagger user's sight behind the archer's head.

 

"Relax, he has nothing on you."
"I won't bite. You aren't from their clan, anyways."

 

Onyx seems to calm down a bit, but stays close to the archer.

 

The dagger user offers a loose curled claw to smell.

 

I fall back a bit while still walking to talk to Eklir.
"Please to try to not wake her up."
I whisper.

"Yeah, and in the watchers as well. Or, I've heard about stuff."

 

Onyx timidly sniffs at it.

 

A moment of silence passes until I decide to say something
"I'm sorry about that..."

 

"Don't be sorry." Anne shrugs.

Smells like he's pet other cats.

"And if I do?"

Linoa seems a bit confused.

 

"But your parents are dead. And trust me, I know how that feels."

 

Onyx calms down, taking a more neutral stance toward the dagger-user.
