Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Alright. Now, excuse me if this hurts, but I need to carry you somehow."
I say, approaching his side.

"Oh, right, they can't be seen, huh."
Crystal says, putting his arm down.

 

"Well...that depends on the mage crystal. You could probably ask Stephanie about this sort of thing, she's well versed in it." I say.

 

"Could you ask her to come to Xlentia's palace? I don't think it's wise to show my face in your city when I'm in a weakened, developing body."

"Can't you just, like, knock me out if it hurts?"

"They can't be seen, but they add up."

 

"If you can find somewhere dark to lurk in Xlentia's palace. I'll reach out to Stephanie for you, though. Artemis and I are almost at the location we wanted to check though." I say.

 

"Once again, don't know raptor anatomy, so that can go wrong in several ways."
I crouch, placing my hands under his mid-section.
"Ready?"

"Okay."
Crystal says, taking note.

 

"Good luck." She says, disappearing. (Albeit hiding in you)

He cringes.
"Just go."

"You have to think, dust and other stuff can collect on skin and clothes, so if you just think of how many people go in and out of the pool, and any dust the water captures when it splashes, the pool needs cleaning more than it might seem."

 

I lift him up and stand up, letting his legs droop down.

"Ghuh."
Crystal says, disgusted.

 

After hiding inside of me, Alice can hear me reaching out to Stephanie telepathically, using a white crystal. I tell Stephanie to meet Alice in the void palace, before looking down to where Artemis is guiding Sgavrinn to.

 

This seems to be an awkward but not painful position.
"Please tell me you're not enjoying this."

"Hey, the chemicals also keep the water clean, so that's another good reason to treat it during halftime." Linoa adds.

Alice goes through Sgavrinn to leave through his shadow, waiting outside the library.

Sgavrinn starts his descent, unaware Alice just used him to not die.

 

"It's a start. I'm making sure this doesn't hurt you."
I say, starting to support his legs.

"I guess so."

 

A while later, Alice can see Stephanie looking around for her.

Artemis pats Sgavrinn lightly.

 

"It doesn't."

One of the players seems to be checking on the progress of the pool.

Alice drops to the ground, getting used to a less physical body.
"Hello... still getting used to this." She utters.

Sgavrinn slows his descent, starting to circle the area.

 

"Alright."
I say, supporting his legs better.
"How's this?"

Crystal checks as well, with a look.

 

"Oh, hey! You wanted help with mage crystals, right?" Stephanie asks, her tome appearing under her arm.


Below, there's a group of dead water guardians in a pool of blood, stab wounds on all of them.

"Oh no." Artemis says, shocked, jumping off of Sgavrinn and catching herself in a flower. I jump off of Sgavrinn and glide down.

 

"Alright. Is that all?"

I look around for any signs to see if there was anything else around other than me and the dragon.

 

"The Leviathan?!" I exclaim loudly
"Do you know how dangerous that thing is?!"

 

"Feels awkward, but if it works better, shut up and get moving please."

It doesn't seem to have changed, except for a slight change in water level.

"Yeah. Until my body is developed enough to cast the spells I used to use, I guess I need to use mage crystals."

Sgavrinn dives down before skimming over the water.
"Is there anywhere to land?"

"I believe so, yes."

Other than another scorched log, not really.

Anne laughs.
"Aww, you scared?" She asks tauntingly. "If you can't handle a snake, I could just call the Behemoth, the Ziz, or the Phoenix." She says, smug with finding some leverage over you.

Leviathan, Behemoth, Ziz, Phoenix... seems Anne knows all four of the guardian beasts of your world - and how to call for their aid.

 

"Alright." The messenger says, waiting for me to return.

I fly around the surrounding area for a bit to see if there are any other dragons.

 

"I could probably sling you over my shoulder. It'd be a bit hard on your stomach, but it'd be something."
I offer.

Crystal waits for the game to start up again.

 

Half an hour later, it's pretty safe to say the baby's an orphan in a dragon-free forest.

"I saw how that went with Crstal. Can we just go?"

Three minutes later, it does, and all the sudden throws, splashing, treading, and cheering resumes at once.
