Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Then you're probably around mid demigod tier." I say.

 

"Minus the downgrades Tenebrae gave me."

 

"Demigods are still powerful. You could probably recover your lost power," I say, "Plus, you can probably grow to like five or six times your size."

 

"Yeah, but she literally took away half of my spells because they 'threaten both realities.'" She mumbles.

 

"You could always ask for them back, or do something that'd win a favour or gift from her." I say.

 

"Damnit, she probably is blackmailing me to get me to hand over the rest of Ruby's prototype weapons! Tsch, I'll just talk to Emily about this shit." Alice complains.

 

"I very much doubt she's blackmailing you. Gods don't do that." I say.

 

"She's holding my power back to get what she wants. Does that not qualify?"

 

"Have you asked her about it?" I ask smugly.

 

"She cut the link."

 

"Have you tried getting back in contact with her?" I ask flatly.

 

"I'll try and get back to you." Alice says, heading back to the statue.

 

The statue simply looms as it always did, an earth guardian with glass goggles looking it over.

 

Alice waits to see if they pray before going up to it and touching it again.

 

The earth guardian just seems to be looking it over, curious.

Touching the statue doesn't really do much.

 

Alice kneels and prays, still touching.

 

After a while, she feels a connection with Tenebrae.

"Yes, my child?" Tenebrae asks.

 

"Did you take away my spatial manipulation powers to try and blackmail me into turning in my sister's weapons?" She asks, straight to the point.

 

"Says who?"
I repeat.

"Oh, right."

 

"Me. I'd be dead if it wasn't for it."

"It's only a chance, but even the smallest chances occur every now and then."
