Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"See that's where you're wrong. You think this is southeast but if you look closely you'll see that it's really south. The water here is full of magic. It makes anyone who isn't a kitsune to lose their sense of direction, it's a way to prevent intruders from entering and leaving."

 

I fly over the city before looking around to what they might be on alert for.

Crystal looks around for them.

 

They sulk.
"You're not going home. I'll follow you if I die trying!" She protests.

It's hard to tell.

They're still working outside.

Kiin hugs the staff, the staff disappearing as she does.
"Momma! Dadda!" Kiin says happily, growing her claws out with ice to hug both at once.

 

Sidus and Aquira hug Kiin back.

"Do you want to go see your older sister, Kiin?" Aquira asks happily.

 

"I has sister?" Kiin asks, eager.

 

"She's quite a bit older than you, but I'm sure you two will get along." Sidus says happily.

A bubble forms around Aquira, Sidus and Kiin as they float down to their underwater palace, Sidus carrying Kiin as Aquira opens the front doors for him.

 

Kiin playfully tries to pop the bubble out of curiosity.

 

The bubble doesn't seem to be able to be popped, turning out to be an illusion as the water is simply separated around the trio.

The inside of the palace is surprisingly dry, the water outside the front door seeming to be held off.

"Katie! We have someone special for you to meet!" Aquira calls out once inside.

"Coming, mum!" Katie shouts back, heading down the staircase at the end of the entrance hallway.

"Katie, this is your new little sister, Kiin." Sidus says happily.

"Aw, hey Kiin!" Katie says happily, gently approaching Kiin.

 

"I won't allow it. You will go back into the forest and stay there." I respond.
"I will not have your death in my conscience. Do you understand me?!"

 

Kiin runs up to Katie and hugs her leg.
"Hi sis!"

"I just realized... why are you going?"

 

"Aw..." Katie says happily, picking Kiin up in order to hug her, "I think we're going to be great sisters!"

 

"Big sister is nice!" Kiin says, a little loud being this close to Katie.

 

Katie flinches a bit, but keeps a firm grasp on Kiin to not drop her.

"Well, it's about dinner time, shall we go make something nice for you to eat?" Aquira asks happily.

 

"Dinner?" Kiin asks, blinking over to Aquira.

 

"Yes, it's the last of three meals of the day. You need to eat to stay fit and healthy!" Aquira says kindly, smiling.

 

Kiin nods, following Aquira eagerly.

 

Aquira heads down the entrance hallway, taking a right and walking around the staircase, Sidus and Katie following her too. She opens a pair of doors into a large dining room, a coral-themed table and chairs occupying most of the room.

"Take a seat, you two. I'll go prepare the food with your father." Aquira says happily, heading to a door at the other end of the room. Sidus follows Aquira through the door, closing it after him.

Katie drains some water from outside, freezing a high chair for Kiin with it and putting her on it, smiling.

 

Kiin scowls at the high chair, changing it into a minature throne before smiling as she waits for Aquira.

 

Katie laughs, sitting down near to Kiin.

A short while later, Aquira and Sidus return from what's presumably the kitchen, carrying plates, and a bowl, of food. Cooked fish and potato wedges with a pink sauce lie on three of the plates, while a mushy, pale green mixture remains in the bowl, which is put in front of Kiin with a plastic spoon. Sidus quickly heads back out to the kitchen to retrieve cutlery while Aquira puts the plates down in front of Katie and the chairs opposite her and Kiin.

"Yes! My favourite! Salmon!" Katie says happily, starting to cut into her fish with ice cutlery, clearly hungry.

"Wait for your father, Katie." Aquira says sternly, sitting down opposite to Kiin.

Sidus soon brings the cutlery back, putting a knife and fork either side of his, Aquira's and Katie's plates.

"Alright, enjoy everyone!" Sidus says happily, cutting a potato wedge in half to eat.

 

Kiin freezes the bowl, chomps down on the mush, then eyes Katie's plate hungrily.
