Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hmm..." I begin thinking of new paradoxes.

I suddenly appear next to myself in a blue flash, "Don't try and make a paradox to blow 13 up," I say to myself, "You end up actually blowing him up and killing Ihra in the process."

"Oh, alright." I say. My other self disappears in a blue flash.

"You win this round." I say, narrowing my eyes at 13.

 

"I won nothing. I simply helped you understand two things you were evidently confused with. You said that you needed help with a calculation, so I gave you the answer."

 

You hear me shout out "HEY! IM BACK FROM MEDITATING AND I MISS WALKING!" Ther is something odd about my tone of voice and the way I speak.

 

"I think you need a humanity chip; because then you'd stop being so literal." I say, annoyed.

"Aj, calm down. He was just trying to help." Artemis says; though she still seems to distrust 13.

Abigail is caught by surprise, and instinctively extends her claws.

"Oh, it's just him." She says, though she doesn't retract her claws.

"There's something not right." Artemis says, looking at Rob sceptically.

"He is hiding something..." I say, drawing Shadow Katana.

 

"If it comes to extremes, yes, that can happen. It's an ability called Chrononegation. Fittingly, it freezes time around her for everyone except her."

"Coming!"
It's taken so long to teach it, it's grown significantly. It won't fit on your shoulder anymore; it's almost outgrown your lap, if it so chose to lay there.

Icicle walks beside you, glancing up at you periodically.

"Yep. It wasn't always like that, but most of my kind is. It's the result of one big mess... you don't want to know what it's brought us to."

She taps one of her blades against her foot.
It makes the sound of...
...metal hitting metal.
"War has taken much from us. Many their lives, some their powers, others, me included, their bodies."

"I forgive her, if that means anything in your culture."

 

"I'm sure she'll appreciate it." Artemis says happily.

Artemis walks over to me.

"Hey, have you got any paralysis potion? I need to borrow some." She says, half whispering.

"Why...?" I say, summoning a phial containing grey liquid in my hands.

"Just in case Abigail gets out of hand, I don't want her hurting Ihra or anything." Artemis replies.

"Alright, though I think you're more prone to getting out of hand." I say, handing Artemis the paralysing liquid.

Artemis dips a few of her arrows into the phial, before storing them in a side-pocket in her quiver.

"Try not to do anything reckless with that." I say, taking the now half-empty phial from Artemis, de-summoning it.

 

Vei eyes you carefully.
"Rineth, how do you trust them?"
"Carefully."

 

I put my hood back up, it shades my face; my red eyes are still visible, glowing lightly under the hood. I look over at Vei, giving a twisted smile.

 

"Don't play those games with me." She grumbles.

 

"Oh." Lazarus is confused how to respond.

 

I disappear, reappearing behind Vei a moment later.

"I'm not playing any games. I'm dead serious." I whisper with an evil tone.

Artemis subconsciously reaches to her quiver.

 

OOC: You forgot me, but I'll carry on with the events I was starting.

The wyvern suddenly stops flying and goes into falling, but not in a way you would expect.
It's plunging down, claws extended but wings still out as it were trying to launch itself at prey, straight towards the ground, even though we are too high in the air for it to seemingly land safely.
You can just about hear Hythania screaming in shock.

 

"Well... keep walking."

Her twin-blades are wrapped around your neck.
"Good, because I never play games. So I won't need to explain what may be coming."

"What the... I wonder if I can still..."
Xephyr dives towards Hythania and tries to grab her off the Wyvern with her tail.
If she succeeds, she puts her on her back.

 

I disappear once more, appearing ducked below the blades.

I put a hand behind my back, summoning the Watch of True Time in it. I click the watch, freezing time for everyone but me.

"Jeez, why do people have to be so serious around here..." I say, summoning a canned, carbonated drink in my hand and walking away. I sip the drink looking back at the party.

"Maybe I could do some painting..." I say, observing the frozen bodies.

I check the watch, and it's hands remain frozen, "I have all the time in the world. Heh heh." I say, laughing.

 

Another Vei taps you on the shoulder.
"Cute toy, but this stuff runs in my blood."

 

I drop the canned drink in surprise, spilling its fizzing contents on the floor.

I draw Shadow Katana, pointing it at Vei defensively.

"I guess this world has some kind of cancellation effects present for the Watch of True Time. Should have expected it, considering I got here in a cut in space and time." I say, checking the watch. Its hands remain frozen.

I focus my vision on Vei.

 

"I am one of four elders of the Chrono Council. Messing with time is not just your game... There is a balance that must be kept, or you'll destroy yourself."

 

Lazarus keeps walking.

 

"Of course, I know. It's what tore apart a lot of the previous owners of this watch. I do, however, know what will disrupt the flow of time; freezing it for a bit won't harm anything." I say, "I'm not going to rewind past fateful events, for it could shift the timeline dramatically, if that's your concern."

I keep Shadow Katana drawn.
