Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ali lays back down, depressed.

They nod, keeping distance.

 

A short while later, there's the sound of footsteps outside Ali's door, but nobody enters.

Nobody seems to enter at all for a good day, either.

 

Ali drifts off, bored.

 

"Might Aral'hrah be on his way?"
I ask, but still continue to walk.

 

"He's on a scavenging run in the lowlands." One of the raptors says.
"Are you the mecha he spoke of?"

 

Nobody comes for a long time.

 

She eventually wakes up and tries to stand up on her own.

 

"Yes, I am. Did he send you folk to get the information I'm to give him?"

 

"No, he just said you were to be watched in case the honesty is an attempt to gain trust."

 

Nothing stops Ali from trying to, nor does anyone come to help.

 

"How long will it be until he's back, do you think?"
I say, stopping.

 

Ali ends up just falling over, passing out as her head hits the floor.

"Nobody ever knows."

 

Once Ali wakes up, she finds herself somewhere completely different. She seems to be chained to the wall in a cell, the bars thick and close together. Ali feels her strength being sapped by some unseen source, Ali herself unable to use magic.

 

She struggles weakly, letting out a cry.

 

The chains are heavy, and nobody comes for a long while.

Eventually, a warden walks past her cell, glaring at her as he passes.

 

"P-please help..." She begs.

 

"Tch, why don't you call for your 'Hive Master' to come help you, clone?" The warden says, sounding disgusted.

 

"How long ago did he leave and what's the shortest time he's been gone?"

 

"W-what?!" She cries, struggling.

"Left an hour ago, and he tends to be gone three days."

 

"Then, I think I might be leaving this area for a while."
I say, turning and walking back towards the portal.
