"Do you know where everyone else went?"

 

"It doesn't even have a name it's so uncommon. Basically, if it's a sharp metal object with a rune on it, I can telekinetically control it as if it were my own hand."

"You're showing up as a projection, not a shadow."

"No, but I know a few of our people have gone to the Shadow Realm."

 

"Is Xlentia here?"

 

"Huh. Well, it has its uses."

"Either here or the Shadow Realm. She's getting her armor 'prettied up,' so... I don't know when that will be. Or care, to be frank."

"I know. Makes for great carvings, but not that widely applicable."

 

I nod. "Thank you." I say, going to her throne room and knocking on the door.

 

"Or fighting, but... you might not do too much of that around here."

 

Her door creaks open.
"Who is it?" She asks.

"Like hell I'd sign up for the defense force. The casualty rate is crazy high!"

 

"I can see why. I saw some of the monsters on my way over here."

 

"Dominus Terrae." I answer.

 

"Terrifying things. I mean... I can't say we don't deserve their wrath, but... this gets none of us anywhere."

"Oh, hello Mister Terrae! Come on in!" Xlentia says happily, shoving the door open wider.

 

I enter the room and bow slightly as a greeting.
"Have you any idea where the others are? I lost track of them after the visit to the other realm."

 

"I've heard stories about all this happened. How long ago was it?"

 

"You mean Aj and friends? I'm not sure, they just kind of come and go. They made me some armor, but it's kind of ugly, so I'm asking them to make me look like a pretty goddess again!"

"No clue. Hundreds of years, probably? Maybe longer? I'd know if I didn't skip class so much."

 

I smile, and then ask, "But what of Thirteen and Crystal?"

 

"So it's one of these cases..."
I mumble.

 

"I don't know! I let them do their own thing too. If we're fighting a mind controlling freak, shouldn't I try to stand for free will?"

"H-hey!" She panics.

 

"But I'm not a projection of anyone...?" The Shadow says, confused.

 

"What?"
I say, looking around.

 

"Oh! Has the battle begun already?"
