Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

OOC: Ah.

There seems to be a group of well armed soldiers being spoken to by a general a short distance away.

 

Ali approaches them, seeming a bit hopeful.

 

"No problem. I'll be around. Find me if you can't glide with it."
I say, smiling.

 

"You better believe I will." He says, darting off.

 

They don't pay Ali any attention, listening to the general's orders.

"And if you're caught, you are to completely erase all traces of yourself, for the good of the king, the queen, and Tenebrae herself." The general explains, his voice a lot less shouty than some of the others around.

 

I start running towards the wall, checking my surroundings.

 

Ali seems to relax.
"Are you the group going after the thief who took my crystal?"

Your surroundings are barren, an acid moat up ahead with a few drawbridges visible in the distance.

 

One of the soldiers nods, their expression stern.

 

Approaching one of the drawbridges, I look for Rineth.

 

Ali lets out a sigh of relief.

He lands and reverts, watching your back as he approaches you and, by relation, the drawbridge.

 

"That's not the last we'll be seeing of lizard fellow, I feel."
I say to him as he approaches.

 

The general finishes speaking to the soldiers, and they salute, before seeming to disappear without a trace.

 

"Glad we're on the same page."

Ali heads back to the throne room.

 

"What should we say if we get asked where we come from?"
I ask, getting to the point as I approach the bridge.

 

It's quite a long walk even back to the palace, but once Ali arrives, she finds a few beings waiting outside the throne room, the next in line being ordered in once one leaves.

 

"Somewhere else."

Ali approaches the guards.
"Uhm... could I get a portal home?"

 

"Okay, then. I was never good at faking locations anyways."

 

"You can, Miss Ali. Follow me." The guard says, heading to a nearby elevator. There don't seem to be any traces of blood left outside the throne room.

 

"They'll be suspicious, but we're obviously not locals."

Ali follows as told.

 

"I just hope they don't think you're a monster."
