Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Onyx ends up eating the whole loaf out of hunger, enjoying every bite.

 

Three inches down and nine long.
"What do you mean, style? If it protects me, it's good enough."

Ali still is asleep.

 

"Just wondering if you wanted something specific."
I say, kicking dirt over the marks again.

 

Onyx sits down beside Ali, looking out for any intruders while she's asleep.

 

"Well, yeah. I want metal. Cloth is useless."

Nobody comes, but Ali only wakes after it's late again, sore.
"G-get... get out..." She mumbles at a wall.

 

"Yes, I know how plate armor works. I'll be leaving now. Stay around here if you want the armor."

 

"h-huh?" Onyx asks, confused.

 

"You know the terms." The raptor says, checking to make sure Thirteen covered over the marks and nodding upon seeing he did.

Ali falls over, pained.
"S-somebody help..."

 

Onyx tries to pick Ali up, before hurrying out to the cafe when she can't.

"HELP!" Onyx screams.

 

There's only one patron in the cafe.
"H-huh? What's wrong, miss? Where's Ali?"

 

"s-shes in the kitchen, she needs help!" Onyx says, fearing for Ali.

 

"See you around, hopefully."
I say, jetting off back towards Rineth.

 

The Anubis runs back, and upon seeing Ali, picks her up and runs out.
"Stay here, miss! Make sure whoever did this doesn't come back!" They shout as they rise through the sand.

Rineth looks at you expectantly.
"Well...?"

 

Onyx paces around nervously, scared.

 

"He knew his exact measurements, for whatever reason. Know any smiths?"

 

A few minutes later, the Anubis returns without Ali.
"Any sightings, miss? She went on about losing some kind of box and a crystal."

"Lab again." Rineth says.

 

"And a place we can get study enough metal to make armor with?"

 

"ive been asleep," Onyx admits, "when i woke up she was like that and i was scared fur her, is she ok?"

 

"Same."

"Well..." the Anubi hesitates. "I meant that if you saw anyone while you were waiting here. And, no... at this rate, she's not going to make it. Somebody bashed her in the back of the head, and she was leaning against something that caused bleeding in her brain." They sigh.

 

"um, ive seen people go into this place that look like theyre about to die, but when they come out, they look normal again," Onyx says, "purrhaps we could take her there?"
