Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Onyx suddenly feels a lot heavier, and it appears that she's fallen asleep on Ali, all of the action tiring her out.

 

Ali sighs, picking Onyx up and laying her on a bed in a back room.
"I hope your friends are who you think they are, not what we've seen." She whispers as she silently closes the door behind her.

 

Onyx sleeps peacefully in the back room, her snores quiet meows.

 

"Do you still want to go through with the deal?"
I ask, curious.

 

She's left to sleep in peace.

"Want to? Yes. Armor is advantageous."

 

"Then I'm going to need some measurements. I'm not going to make armor that's not going to fit you."

 

After sleeping for quite a few hours, Onyx wakes up, looking around and rubbing her eyes.

 

The raptor pauses, scratching audible soon after.
"They're scratched into the ground, but you better erase them soon." They say before backing away from the scratches.

She's on a leafy mattress over sandstone, though she isn't sore. There's a single lit candle in the room near the door, and it's too dark to see much other than that.

 

"How do you know your torso measurements so well?"
I ask, suspicious, approaching the scratches.

 

Onyx gets up and timidly opens the door, peeking out.

 

"Know yourself, know your enemy, or know death. You will always know two."

It leads out into the kitchen, Ali passed out near the oven.

 

"Very negative way of thinking."
I say, reading the marks.

 

Onyx checks to make sure Ali isn't in any danger from the oven.

 

"Tsch, at least we're alive."

The markings read about a foot and a half around the waist and two and a half up around the chest. Arms two feet long, and neck about a foot wide.

The oven isn't even on, but there's a piece of bread sitting next to the toaster, and the bunches of ingreedients suggest Ali just made it.

 

Onyx's stomach growls at she notices the bread, and she tries to stop herself from stealing the food, though she still goes over and sniffs at it.

 

It's definitely freshly baked, though not done this morning. It doesn't smell like a grain that Onyx has seen before, further piquing her curiosity.

 

"I need the circumference of your arms, the length doesn't matter much."
I say, kicking dirt around the markings.

 

Onyx can't help herself, and takes a bite out of the bread to try and sate her immense hunger.

 

One more scratch and another leap back.
"They're not round, they're gliding wings. If it inhibits gliding, no deal."

It starts out a bit grainy, then seems to melt in her mouth. It also tastes as good as homemade bread does in the first place.

 

"Good to know. I still need to make sleeves, though."
I say, approaching the scratch.
"Any preference in style, or just plate armor that doesn't hinder gliding?"
