"Three favors?"
"As an apology. B-but, it could be a trap."

 

"Who are they?"
I ask, curious.

 

Onyx looks around the group that was arguing, trying to figure out what their choices will be.

 

"Rivals."

They seem to be indifferent, uneasy.

 

Onyx lets out a mew and sigh of relief, though trying to remain hidden under the table.

 

I nod, taking note.
"Mind if I get a good look at you?"
I ask, approaching slowly.

 

"...We'll see." Is the general consensus of the group.
"If she serves her sentence, no. If not, that may stretch to Abigail, no?"

"...it could." Ali responds.

"There is no trust between us. Back off!" They snap, leaping back.

 

I do, returning to where I was before approaching.
"Well, in that case, no armor."

 

A feeling of dread washes over Onyx as she listens, contemplating whether to blow her cover to speak up, or remain hidden.

 

"Your loss, not mine." They sneer, darting off again.

"Also, did the kitty come out here?" Ali asks.
"Under my table."
"She scared?"
"I dunno."

 

I don't bother giving chase, looking around for Rineth.

 

He doesn't seem to be around.

 

Onyx curls up, burying her face in her knees as she realises her cover is blown.

 

I fly back over the died throat, quickly, and look around once more.

 

"Kitty, what's your take on this?" Ali asks. "Do you think they'd serve their two weeks?"

 

"t-two weeks?" Onyx asks nervously.

 

There only other thing looking at you gets torn up by the raptor.

 

I shoot the raptor a glare.

 

"Jail time."

"Rineth!"
I shout loudly, not caring about giving my position away to anything.
