Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal flashes once more to try and distract, going for a jab on Rineth.

 

"These people remind me of earth guardians." Artemis comments.

"Yeah, especially since they seem to harbour a hate toward Abigail." Shadow Stephanie says, grinning.

Artemis laughs slightly, amused.

 

It doesn't stun Linoa this time, a charged magic bolt shoving Crystal into Rineth's swings.

"We know solar magic and a bit of light earth magic. The only thing we've figured out is how to make doors with sand." The Anubis comments, bringing back the tea.

 

"I guess your society has a long way to go?" Artemis asks, smiling.

 

Crystal tries using his shield to protect against Rineth's swings, trying to get his grip back on things.

 

"I mean, we're lucky to be alive, so yeah."

Linoa smashes Crystal with a ball of fire magic while he's distracted with Rineth.

 

Crystal takes the hit, and it clearly hurts. He then shifts, taking the heated part of his body and attempting to hit Linoa or Rineth with it.

 

Artemis and Shadow Stephanie take their tea, both taking sips of it to taste.

"I need to get crumpets..." Shadow Stephanie comments as she sips her tea.

 

Linoa is trying to freeze Crystal out at this point, Rineth distracting him.

It's not bad tea, but it's nothing special.
"What's a crumpet?"

 

Crystal tries to make his way around Rineth, to a point where Rineth is between him and Linoa.

 

"It's like this bread thing you toast and eat with tea? I guess?" Shadow Stephanie says.

"Nice tea." Artemis compliments, drinking her tea.

 

Rineth keeps him from repositioning, getting too close for a lance to be effective.

"Uhm... I have some bread..." The Anubis offers.

"Thanks."

 

"No, it's fine. The tea is lovely." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

 

"Thank you." The Anubis says, smiling before going into another room.

 

Crystal tries using his shield to push his way around Rineth.

 

"These people are nice." Artemis comments.

"Yeah. So hospitable," Shadow Stephanie says, "I bet they have a secret murder cult and we're the next in line to be sacrificed."

"What?" Artemis asks, confused, "I think these people are just kind. Not everyone who's kind and hospitable is out to kill you, you know."

 

Rineth shoves his shortsword through the shield as he tries to drive Crystal back to the edge of the dome.

"If you think we do, you'll love trying to get the other artifact." The Anubis warns, slightly annoyed.

 

"Camp of savages, right?" Artemis asks.

"We can kill them, right?" Shadow Stephanie asks, "The other guys, I mean."

 

Crystal shifts through the shortsword, continuing to move around Rineth.

 

"You didn't hear from the drow, did you?" The Anubis sighs. "You need them alive, or you'll never get theirs. And yes, camp of savages."

Linoa takes the opportunity to let off a cryobeam, slowing Crystal immensely.
