Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I sort of am. I'm part of Xlentia now, and I don't know if I can undo that."

 

"You can't, but we can. We will get you out of here." Shadow Stephanie says, certainty in her tone.

 

"Good luck." Ihra says, tired.

 

"I'll round up the others after I'm out of here. We need to get hunting for some artefacts, we've been lazing around too long," Shadow Stephanie says, "I'll hopefully see you again soon, Ihra."

Shadow Stephanie removes her hand, giving Ihra a tight hug before letting go, swimming through Xlentia's bloodstream before teleporting into her stomach once she's close enough. Shadow Stephanie heads to the start of Xlentia's stomach before shrinking her size and flying up Xlentia's throat, trying to not touch the sides and cause Xlentia to throw up.

 

Shadow Stephanie gets out safely.

"Katie, you okay?"

 

"I-I'm kind of lost." Katie says from somewhere inside Xlentia.


"OH SHIT I FORGOT KATIE!" Shadow Stephanie says, panicking.

"You left one of our best friends inside of a goddess..." I say flatly.

"Well...I had a lot on my mind!" Shadow Stephanie says, still panicking.

 

"Brace in three seconds. There'll be a gap, and you get out via that gap." Xlentia says.


"I got this." Xlentia says, looking ready to bite herself.

 

"O-Ok!" Katie says, sounding nervous.


"We need to get Artemis and the others after this. We need to get those artefacts." Shadow Stephanie says.

"If we don't laze around like we did last time then sure," I say, "You don't even know what it was like."

"I know what we have to do, though." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Katie is rushed out of Xlentia's body as she starts healing a self inflicted bite wound.

 

Katie picks herself up, before running over to Shadow Stephanie and I, hugging me.

"I don't think I want to go back in there..." Katie says, sounding scared, "I don't know where I went, but it was really strange and scary."

"Well, we're going to be headed back to that forest and desert place. We're going to actually do something there this time." I say, hugging Katie back.

"Can I have some time to reform?" Katie asks.

"Sure thing." I say, opening a portal to the Realm of Shadows.

"See you in a bit, Xlentia. We're going to round up the others." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"About time..." She chuckles.

 

I wave to Xlentia as I head through the portal with Katie, Shadow Stephanie following as it closes.

Meanwhile...

Abigail, having changed back into her armour, heads to the area where she found the vault guard, using her visor to scan around for any hidden passages or traces of magic.

 

There is a now visible passage and a guard holding a light pulse rifle at her, cloaked.

 

"What are you gonna do, shoot me?" Abigail asks fearlessly.

 

"Yeah." They reply bluntly.

 

"You realise you're holding an illegal weapon, and I could pull a few strings to get you in big trouble for that, right?" Abigail asks.

 

"It's not illegal if I made it." They say bluntly. "What do you think it is?"

 

"A light realm light pulse rifle that was found to house so much power it posed a threat to the gods themselves," Abigail says, "I read a news article on them."

 

"I used its design, yes."

 

"Recreation of them is illegal, dude. Light creatures have a new design. They're still as powerful, they just can't harm the gods." Abigail says.
